Crossmember for roofrack

These are ready to be made. I am looking for interest from people. Please post up if you are. They will not be ready for the holidays.

Powdercoated 14GA(0.074") Steel--$30 per crossmember.
3 Crossmembers, $30*3=$90.

What I need to know is for which vehicle(FJ40, FJ60/62, FJ/FZJ80, UZJ100), and how many. I can have any combination of different lengths made, so just post up.

IIRC, there will be two main sizes. A 50" and 62". Depends on how much overhang you want. Keep in mind the FJ40's will need the 62" with no overhang, and the 80's &60's will use the 50" to have a no-overhang application.

I will look at my drawings and confirm this.

I'm ready to buy 2 sets of gutter clamps and 2 powdercoated crossmembers for my LX450.

What is the schedule for getting the crossmembers ready ?

I am looking at getting them the week after New Years. I am Prototyping length samples right now to have pictures for everyone. I will post up both lengths on whatever they will fit on. Look for those pictures by week end.

For a refresher as we get back into the swing of thigs after the holidays, here are the prices for both roofrack clamps and crossmembers (Shipping is extra)

Crossmembers:
Powdercoated Cardinal "mock rock"--$25 per crossmember.
(3 Crossmembers, $25*3=$75, 4 crossmembers, $25*4=$100)

Roofrack brackets:

Powdercoated Cardinal "mock rock"--Prices are:

$150 for six clamp brackets ($25.00 per clamp bracket)

$188 for eight clamp brackets ($23.50 per clamp bracket)

--OR--

$28 each.

Don't forget the crossbars. They come in 48", 53" and 62" lengths, 14GA cold rolled steel. (Mondo beefy 10 GA versions available if desired).

Custom powder selections as well (small setup fee required).

--OR--

$25 each.

For sets of three, which includes 6 brackets and 3 crossmembers--$240 plus shipping
For sets of four, which includes 8 brackets and 4 crossmembers--$308 plus shipping

I will have the sets ready to go by Jan 15 2008.
Brackets will be ready at the same time.

Can the mounts be adjusted so the crossbars sit lower? Or is this all the way down?

They adjust from 4 3/4" to 6 1/4" high. Curvature of the roof is what limits lower stance.

Koo! So if I measure the height of the roof curvature on the 80 vs. the rain gutters I can see how low I can have it? Has anyone adjust the mounts to the very lowest setting and see how much higher it is vs the roof (assuming no stock rack)?
