Fellow Mudders,
My apologies that some of my boat business spilled over here....My apologies that I have been fairly busy recently...The speakers are still on backorder which is out of my control...
Those who have requested refunds have recieved them check your paypal accounts and please post to confirm..(Alex, Chris, and Jon) there is 2 more of you....so just let me know what to do...
Like I said the boxes are built just no speakers to finishs them... Again I'm sorry that my boat business spilled over here....some people just have too much time on their hands...
Steve

i also got my money back from LDD. thanks LDD for doing that. I am sorry that it came to this. I did not do this due to the boat guys, that isn't any of my business. I still would like to get a box one day. Perhaps when you get the speakers in and have a complete setup ready to ship, I will be ready to order again. I didn't read any of the boat stuff, but as far as I am concerned, you did the stand up thing for us cruiser owners.

Thanks for the understanding guys.... I again apologize for the boat drama coming over here.... As for the enclosures, like I said they are all built and just need to be cut for the sub, unfortunatley I cant get them right now. You guys have waited long enough so it was time to do the refunds anyways....timing just worked out with the boat drama, they brought it over here and I did what i felt was right...
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
I'm still interested - I waited 6 months for us to get 5 people for the order, so I've just been patiently waiting. Thanks for posting an update.
Do you have any idea when the subs will be available and the box finally shipped to me?

Jaime,
Normally in the audio business I dont suspect them to show until after the new year. Usually manufactures are going through product updates and when the arrive it will be the "newer" XT10...I could be wrong but in reality there is no sure fire way of knowing....I appreciate your patience and will do whatever you would like me to do...
Thanks,
Steve

No one from the boat deal ever called until 6 months later....what does that have to do with business here?.....

I have done what they asked me to do here....unless you have 80-Series business here your wasting your time....
You were'nt a party in my boat sale, so how your important to this is very unclear. A court of law will decide who is right or wrong, not you, nor any member on this site....they dont care so move on....

I've been watching this thread as I'm hopefully buying an 80 soon, but HERETOHELPYOU and SOMEONEWHOCARES seem like a couple of ambulance chasers who just joined in Nov. 2008 to stir up some s*$t.
While I think that Long Duck Dong took a while to get back to his customers, if you are not a stakeholder in this thread, why are you here?
HERETOHELPYOU and SOMEONEWHOCARES don't seem excessively interested in Landcruisers...you know?
My two cents,
Craig.

Just hung up with Exile. They had your subs in stock 2 weeks ago. They will have another shipment in 30 days. 1-888-249-0970 Call for yourself. Be an ass if you want but atleast some of the guy's got their money back.

Steve,
Jamie here.
I'm ok with either of two options, with a preference for #1:
#1.
Ship the mostly completed box (you said it's only missing the hole for the sub) to me as is, and refund me the $125 difference since I'll just be getting the enclosure. According to the original pricing in your first post, a 10" box without a sub was $125, while a 10" box with sub was $250, so that should be pretty straight forward since you haven't gotten the sub yet.
OR
#2.
If you'd rather not deal with shipping the box, or if you feel you might not be able to ship it to me in a reasonable amount of time (2 weeks?), then I'll take a full refund of the $250+$25 shipping=$275. I don't want to wait much longer, even though I do want the product.
I'll send this to your email as well,
With Sincere Thanks,
Jamie.

Great Idea Jaime...
If you guys want the empty boxes just let me know and we can do it that way.....they are already built and ready to ship. The only thing you will have to do is cut a hole for the subs...
Thanks,
Steve

And why don't you let us know where we can buy the sub that this box was built for. Unless you can pull it together and get the subs within the next two weeks, I'm going to request my box and money as well. And try and make it a point to respond in this thread at least once every two days. It's not tough.

Exactly....
First, someone sent me an email requesting a refund but didnt do it yet due to the impending box only thing... I'm at home now so I cant look to see who it was, but I wanted to at least air it out there that I knowingly havent refunded yet.
As for the box, you guys should be able to use a comboination of subs. I realize it was designed for the Exile but from what I hear Pioneer and Sony both now offer this slim line sub, I know of other manufactures as well. I'm not totally familiar with the sub specs of the Sony or Pioneer, but I would guess that they are within a reasonable margin of error to work.
I will make an earnest effort to call Exile and check into inventory...
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
Can you provide a status?
I haven't seen a notification of shipment, nor any refunds (full or partial) on my PayPal account that would indicate what is going on.
Please provide status. I would like to see the box shipped before the end of the month, with or without the sub. Is that possible?
Jamie.

Steve,
The last post you made was on 11/10.
It is 12/1 and time for action - no more delays for extra time to check with Exile; I have waited long enough. I know how much a busy schedule sucks; I'm sure it will be nice to cross this task off your list and stop getting nagged by all of us, but there's a limit to what I can take. Thank you for your integrity shown so far to this group in providing refunds to those who requested them. Like I said in my previous post, if you don't want to deal with sending the empty box and a half refund, just say so, and I'll take a full refund instead. I'm trying to be accommodating to help you cover the costs of the boxes you already built, but if we can't get some progress here, I'll need to request the full refund.
So, to be clear, regardless of what Exile says or when you think you might be able to get subs, I am requesting the empty box be shipped to me without delay, as well as $125 refund to my PayPal account for the lack of subwoofer.
I just re-emailed you my Paypal information to the email listed in this post.
Please post the date you will ship the box to me, and return the $125 to show you are willing to finish up these deals with the same high integrity you've shown to the other IH8MUD members.
Sincerely,
Jamie from Edmonds

I had asked for an empty box as well. I prepaid way back in the day and then was given a refund of $250.00 with the promise that the enclosure would be sent "for my trouble". It's been a month and nothing has shown up on my doorstep. I'm thinking they were never built in the first place and that he hasn't started yet. I'm not holding my breath...

wow, you were promised an enclosure? i wasnt given that option. but i did get my money back and i am happy to get that. i wish this had gone the other way, i really do. i know that a lot of 80 owners would like some additional sound quality in our trucks and this would have provided that.
