I've got improvements in mind but they are on the ECU side of things and not with the MAF itself.
The reality is that to get the price down to where it was I would have to commit to 30 pieces. Buying only 10 pieces would almost double the price. At some point if that many are interested and would prepay then I could do it again.

so...are you gonna set up a waiting list?
I wouldn't have a problem waiting on a list until we had enough for a run of 30.

Great product! After all shipping costs, I spent a total of $270 between the MAF and ebay OEM used sensor.

Hi.
Can i use my old sensor if not what do I search for on Ebay?
thanks,

I really don't have time for managing something like that. But if someone wanted to do that and let me know when the list is close to full that would be fine with me.

Rick, just curious, what it the reason for the sensor change? I have one of these and it seems to work great.

It was a long ass thread where Christo and others tried to tear apart Landtank's methodology and all they really successfully did, IMO, is make Landtank perfect it even more by locating a sensor that plays nicer with our systems. I still think this is some of the best money I've spent on this truck.

turns out the sensor didn't do what I had hoped. The bottom line is that a batch of these is damn expensive and with people getting a little nervous when a prominent 80 figure says it's destroying engines I can't lay out the cash for it.
Sorry

Man, sure is taking its sweet time to destroy anything. Rick, this mod was great and thoughtful work and I'm proud to own one. Hopefully others down the road will get the chance to. Also down the road it will only be shown that the hysteria was really with good intention but ultimately unfounded.

Todd,
In the hopes of teaching a man to fish....
Advanced Search, 80-section, author=Sleeoffroad, Keywords=MAF, engine
The first thread returned is: http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-te...e-results.html
How did I come up with this search criteria? You have all the clues. NLXTACY told you that Christo (aka Sleeoffroad) was a key contributor to the thread in question. You know it is concerning the Landtank MAF and Rick told you the concerns raised had to do with the running of the engine.
Now, you are no longer a search idiot.

Ahh, didn't know Christo's 'handle', that would've narrowed things down a bit! I tried being more specific too, with 80s forum search and MAF slee landtank got me closer too. Never thought of adding the people in the search without using the author field but it works!
Thanks for fish, and more for the rod!

I've committed to having another run of housings made. They will use the same sensor as before and the price will be the same.
I'll have a delivery date in a few days hopefully. Right now it's only 10 housings and a few are already paid for.

right now the shop told me delivery is mid August. To get the same pricing on a lower count I agreed to doing it as fill work. Which means they do it on their schedule. I'll check back with them the first week of August to get a more definite answer.

Woohoo! I'm so glad these are going to be available again!
Rick,
Do I ask you to put me on the list and then once the product is available, send you the payment via paypal? Or am I supposed to pay up front and once it's available, you send it out?
Cheers!

The housings were shipped yesterday so I should be getting them early next week. I'm on vacation and will try to get them out, if not it will be the following week.

So what makes the improvement? Then different sensor? I take it the ID of the housing is the same.

right now the housing is under review. Once completed there will be a dyno run to provide actual numbers of any improvement.
