A lot of work still ahead of me. Figure out wheelbase so I can figure out length of frame. I made the rear slide on the rails so I could play with it a bit. It will get cut back apart and boxed and yadda yadda yadda when I’m closer to...

Sorting out the rear. Still using the rear hatch. And a shot of it all together.

The 40 was in desperate need of a new tub and I always wanted to build a pickup. So that’s what I’m doing. I have cut the 40 and frame and top. Slowly but surely piecing it all back together. I cut the body up at my old shop before I got rid...

Well…as most things go. Life gets in the way. But I held on to the 40! Interests changed. I built a 2nd gen ext cab pickup and wheeled that for awhile. Now that the kids are older and I’m a little more settled, I am slowly but surely...

There is nothing new to see here. The exact same thing happened on the 100 too when repairs started to be needed, or when some folks wanted a change. Sometimes the cost outweighs the benefits. Springs - not perfect Ahc - not perfect There are...

I wouldn’t just top off and go. I would buy a burp kit and make 100% sure there are no bubbles. I’d also do what @marques suggest. Though I would run the heat at full blast as the vehicle is coming up to temp vs the a/c.

All signs point to a seized caliper on the Pass(right) side. I’m assuming you mean warping instead of seizing in your questions in reference to the rotor. I would also stick with factory calipers as it also sounds like you may be going...

Honestly at 183k, I’d just keep using what you’re using. If it has been properly serviced for the last almost 200k, what really is to be gained? If a failure is destined to occur, isn’t changing viscosity prolonging, or possibly even hastening...

Selling my M1101. 4 pin. Good 235/85/16 load range E tires. Used it to haul dirt and gravel to my house and for my job. It definitely saw some use before it was released. But it pulls straight at any speed and is fairly easy to move around by...

Thanks for the link! I mulled over several engine choices and the 4bd meets my goals for this project. My work truck is a 6.2 squarebody with a stock gm turbo running 5 pounds. It makes me smile everyday, so clearly I’m a cheap date.

That’s great news. I’m calling the two local Isuzu dealers tomorrow to see if I can get a rebuild kit…fingers crossed. If not I hope to save these liners. Turbo exploded and sent bits through the engine.

Well, I finally picked up a 4bd2tc that needs a rebuild. I’m considering rebuilding it as a 1t. I need a rebuild kit regardless, so might as well eliminate any potential head cracking issues down the road. Pistons, a new head, and 1t...

Will try not to turn this into a testimonials thread. But my 08 LX has been the best vehicle I’ve owned to date. Yes the tech is outdated, but it is new and well built enough that I trust my wife to drive it across country knowing full well she...
