Also check out Partsouq. They've got a slightly more user-friendly interface, but pricing varies higher and lower so do your research on each part. The price differences can be huge.

Just wanted to mention this in case it helps anyone on the topic of capping rear AC. I used a cap kit that screws into the tubes that sits behind the passenger wheel. No cutting required.
Here's the kit I ordered ($70): Rear AC block kit for...
203,000 miles on my 06 LX with the original AHC, just checked pressures in Techstream just to see how they were holding up. Still in the specified range front and rear after multiple off-road trips and some accidental jumping over large "whoops"...
I ordered on the last two sales - Thanksgiving, then Christmas a few weeks later so I could buy a rad for under the tree. Now Presidents day. Seems to be right around a major holiday. If I was betting, I would predict the next one to be...
I've had a misfire from a bad injector. Have you checked all your injectors? I placed a long socket extension against an injector with the engine running, and held the other end to my ear, and could tell which one was bad because it wasn't...
You may try to remove the Serpentine belt and turn the alternator by hand. It should turn with a little resistance. If its very hard to turn, the bearings are failing.
You can hear the noise in the background at the beginning. Then at about 20 seconds you can hear it after I take my foot off the accelerator going up the hill.
I have a "whirring" or "whistling" noise at the front right of the engine. Has worsened over past 2 years. It used to be quiet and go away after 10 minutes of driving.
Now the noise is consistently present and it varies with engine RPM when...
When I did my front suspension I also used POR-15 (as the OP used on the frame) on LCA and so on. Did the Metal Prep of POR-15 as well.
Wire brush --> wash off with degreaser --> Metal Prep --> wash with degreaser --> 2-x layers POR15 brushed on
What advice do you have for us that have rust but do not need to replace the frame?
What rust prevention products do you recommend?
Do you have any advice for dealing with rusty bolts underneath?
I have a 01 LX with rust. Frame is still mostly...
Yes. Assuming your head unit comes with short speaker wires, you would crimp longer wires behind the head unit, run those speaker cables (4wires, L+/- R+/-) under the floor carpet to under the passenger seat. Then its up to you if you want to...
I have a different experience with my LX. No interior rattles or squeaks even at nearly 260k miles. I am due for lots of rubber suspension components, though.
Re: the ride - just because the fluid was flushed doesn't mean it will ride well. When...
Short answer: No additional connectors are required to be purchased as long as you are willing to solder or crimp into the existing speakers wires.
I have 2001 LX, ML with aftermarket radio. I recently removed factory amp since it was not being...
And here's what started this whole mess in the first place. My exhaust tick. As I heard the tick getting louder over last few years, I thought the crack was getting worse, but in reality I guess my sparkplug #7 was slowly winding itself out of...
Looks great. I find it strange that there was no coating on those peices from the factory, but I guess Toyota assumed no one would see them. All the metal under the dash is the same way
Guys and Gals,
Check you PCV Valve/Grommet and replace it often. Cheap and easy when you catch it early. I pushed mine just a little bit long and it came out in two pieces, nightmare if it's brittle....I cut mine on the two sides all the way...
Got both front sides wheel bearing repacked.
No more front end noise and ride is back to original buttery smooth.
Thanks for the guidance on what to look for to complete this messy job.
Unfortunately for me my boot tear can’t be fixed with simple reclamp. It is a small rip that I covered with epoxy a long while ago. That only slowed it down. Left the original clamp. Now rip has grown to about an inch or more. I can epoxy again...
