However to run Vintage Air Ac and ‘keep’ the cowl vent, this how you modify the linkage and move the pull knob to the dash. Note the step in the cross bar. And the pull knob at the top of the dash between wipers and the pull throttle. That was...

ok, full disclosure - I've tried to do my best to follow the factory set up as much as possible with this build but don't take this for correct. the red cable is choke, stripped one is the water valve and the black is the door on the blower. I...

the gaps on the hatch and the roof are pretty large so I was skeptical the weatherstrip would close them but it looks like a really nice seal all the way around - I'll find out next time it rains :p

it mostly went on well. I wiped everything down with acetone to clean it, then using the 3m adhesive, put a coat on both the weatherstrip and the door, let them get tacky (which seemed like seconds) and stuck them together. I wasn't confident to...

this should be the last part of this thread: placing the weatherstripping. again, a big thanks to City Racer for this great product. no kidding, this was scary for me because of the potential mess factor along with the risk of it not adhering to...

Again, no expert here but it opens about 170° - leaves about an inch gap from stopping on the other side, if that makes sense

I fought with this for a long time - trying to get the locking arm indexed correctly as well has the correct height and tension. here you can see how it drops into the handle cutout to prevent it from opening

the main mechanism needed more love - it was pretty bent up. took quite a bit of time to get everything lined up and working smoothly. what I didn't realize was that there should be a torsion spring on the one side to assist keeping the handle...

just some documentation of how my hatch went together. the parts as they were disassembled - looks like the main mechanism had some better days - a little bent, etc - probably forced open at some point

I'm pretty sure I purchased it on ebay, but it looks like it's available from a lot of different vendors. I did a search for Precision Parts, vent window gasket VWL 5110 63 and it comes up (there is a left and right). It's really soft and...

Imagine the frustration of enjoying a drive with the windshield down and suddenly the sunvisors start opening…. the first world problems we have to deal with. I fabricated a pair of straps to hold them in place. I repurposed some MOLLE webbing &...

some final pictures of everything assembled. still amazed that everything went together as well as it did but even more so, that the door closed and latched! after all the new body panels etc I was sure there would be an alignment issue but...

some better pictures of the window crank and the access panel. this is far from a period correct build so most of the fasteners don't match the original. since I was a kid working on dirt bikes I've had a strong disdain for Phillips head screws...
