Not 200 series related, but kinda. Long single track ride on dirt bikes with my bro and our sons. Which ended on an offroad trail I'll be bringing the 200 back to. We ran into @Toyotasaurusrex in his slightly modded FJ55 - always a treat to see a...
Didn't really need the basket on my Slee rear bumper for fuel since I have the LRA tank. Bought some jerry can style storage containers that are lockable. Recovery gear in one, tools in the other. Didn't love the color they came in so I used...
Didn't want to trash my Heritage Wheels on the trails so I bought a wheeling set. Decided on these rebound pros. 17" diameter also gave me a little more sidewall which I think will be nice on trails. Added 285/75/17 bfg K02. Slight rubbing when...
cool, i planned a trip to Moab months ago. I didn't realize it's Cruise Moab week. Will be fun to see a bunch of LCs down there to dilute the usual concentration of Jeeps. If you see a white 200 travelling with a Rubicon (my brother) be sure to...
I got code c1610, then scanned again and got code 5C40. Searched around the interwebs and can't find anything on how to re-establish connection. I wondered if the connection got wet in the car wash or something and blew a fuse but can't find any...
Thanks to everyone who helped me on the KAON hooks.
I finally got around to ordering them last Sunday night, they shipped Monday, arrived today and had them installed by lunch time!
Good question. There is a post on the back of the mirror arm that the absorber slips over. You have to make sure and order the correct mirror arm - the correct one is the part number I included above.
Decided to upgrade my mirror to the type that can be tilted to avoid the glare of headlights behind you. Replaced the cover and the absorber at the same time.

After bashing one of my rear shocks pretty hard on a trip last fall I decided to grab a set of these Kaon shock guards before an upcoming trip. Super simple install and they don't look like they will make it more difficult to adjust the BP51s.
After just over a year with my LRA 24 gallon tank I noticed the finish was coming off and surface rust forming. So i wire brushed up the area and coated with some Silver POR15 which was a pretty good color match to the original factory coating.
Nice. The only weirdness I’ve noticed on my 2013 is that when turning while backing up the lines are off. I think that’s a function of how the camera was actually calibrated for being offset though. Still it’s better than leaving it factory...
Awesome. Similarly afflicted. I've owned cruisers since I bought my first one (fj40) at 16 back in '91. Honestly I would love an older D90 or D130 too, they are just cool rigs. But, I have more cruisers than I really need already 😂
@rlynch356 I love that you have a Land Rover overland business but you drive a 200. Mainly because my older brother has 4 Land Rovers. He is always giving me grief about my out of date basic cruisers, and I rib him about his techy rovers that...
glad you got it done! I don’t like cutting harnesses or drilling holes, which is why my Kaymar kit sat on my work bench for months😂. But I would rather drill a hole hidden behind a panel that cut into a wiring harness.
Bought a real steel "deluxe" tailgate for when I'm going topless. I knew it was a gamble because the floor pan panel I bought from them for my 40 was not even close to matching and required a lot of fabrication to make it look stock. Looks like...
Nothing much to add other than on a recent work trip to Idaho I drove a chipped Bronco with 35s that was surprisingly quick and yet still got 20 mpg. The removable top was nice. Rear tailgate felt a little cheap as did instrument cluster. Two...
Those hooks are nice.
Question though, do you need to access the nut behind those bolts? Oe is it a welded nut or threaded support it goes in to?
Would be nice if it as simple as removing bolt and replacing with Kaon and then insert the new...
