Yea, thanks to help from @suprarx7nut we went thru everything possible to remedy a 62 code, fluid pressure malfunction. I finally replaced the couple O rings inside the pump and it came alive holding pressure again.

Tsk tsk. (I should say, drivers who get used to and rely on the aides become worse drivers...) I don't think just getting used to them alone is the dangerous part. It's the giving up of situational awareness and active thinking while driving...

Hi all, Posting my successful process of clearing my P0430 code on my 2003 LC. awhile back I would get the CE, VSC lights that would stay on for a bit then go away. About 6months ago they came on and stayed on. When I got my oil changed I had...

We bought our LC new in 2006, my daughter was four years-old, my son was two. It hauled the two of them and our two dogs and all their friends anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go. One of my favorite experiences with the cruiser was when my...

I had same thing happen to me in Bucees parking lot. But that was on me due to using the closest cheap part I could find at the moment. Make sure to replace with Aisin brand bracket.

If you're pulling the rad because it's damaged you'll have plenty of room.

Pretty much totally disagree. The 100 series is more likely to get a pile of kids from point A to B to Z than anything else…onroad as well as normal offroad traversing. Atrocious gas mileage depends on what you’re comparing to. If your are OK...

I think that price is high based on the issues you mentioned. I would expect the asking price to be around $6000-6500....THEN my game would be to really use those uncertain issues to negotiate to closer to $5000.....if the gut agrees. I suggest...

Did you determine relay fuse bad? You've not stated year or model. Have you checked for any DTC (code) in tech stream. Was the fuel pump you installed OEM, Denso or aftermarket. Is immobilizer light going off when key insert into IG SW. Have you...

"it wanted to turn over" I assume means. Engine was turning over (cranking) but wouldn't fire-up (start). Keep in mind. Engine must be cranking for fuel pump circute to send power to pump. Although, it can be run from tech stream engine off...

Truth is…. with OEM plastic Ts and same OEM clamps takes 30 minutes of work every 10 or so years

Well I stand corrected. I totally read his post wrong and was thinking they fit with OEM clamps. Which sucks because I have his kit (with metal T's) sitting in a box. I'll just get the plastic ones again and be done. Thanks for the heads up...

Not according to my first post in thread below asking Patch this quesiton. People have been using metal Ts for awhile but I've never seen or heard of one that is exactly the size of OEM plastic Ts that do not require a tighter clamp.....Which is...

But you will need to replace OEM clamps with worm clamps if you go with the metal option.

BullElk replied to the thread Washboard vibration.
There is a fairly common "washboard vibration" transmission issue with some of the '04 LXs. It has been identified as being in a certain slot of VINs. May need to do a search for that and check your VIN.

I ask because I have never ever bled or changed brake fluid in any of my LC/LXs and never had any braking issues that I know of. Short of all four systems failing by sundown, I wonder if it has anything to do with never having any ABS/master...

Dark color, stained reservoir, bake fades after heavy use are due to moisture lowered boiling temp of fluid. Which if reservoir stained, you'll also very likely have weak seals. Junky old fluid is damaging also, to the rubber used in brake system...

95% sure you have air in the line - probably right by the pump. Code 1762 pops up *VERY* quickly and turns off power (IE voltage) at the pump. That's how it's supposed to work. It's annoying, but that's how it's supposed to work. I've dealt with...

Nah, my “come down hard” days are gone, together with my jeep days. I found the LC is a great platform as it is and trying to leave it as designed, longevity and comfort is my goal.
