Just a quick update for anyone following this thread. I have changed the operating system running on my Teyes CC3 2K.
The motherboard for the Teyes CC3 2K is made by a Chinese company called FYT, and this particular model is called the FYT 7862S...
Hey, I'm literally just back in from the first camping opportunity we've had in months, and since getting myself back together after the hurricane & passing of my Dad in late '24, just in time to see the new posts on this thread. Thank you, guys...
EIMKEITH RAM burned in. I’ve had this truck for 5 years now and did not have any sort of caster correction…… damn it’s amazing how well it handles now. No longer chases the crown of the road and eliminated weird driveline vibrations under load. WIN!
Hard to believe, but we are now about 150 days into this project and just under 500 people on the waitlist.
A few updates:
The PCB prototype is close to 100% finalized
The LCD, knobs, buttons, connectors, and mounting locations are packaged...
I was swapping the Teyes unit from my old/parts 100 to my new one today, and it seems like the factory tape deck is still involved in getting sound, even if only controlling the amp and volume. Just flagging that it seems like losing the factory...
Just installed another 25mm BL, on another of my 100's, after having the body jacked up at the rear to do some rear chassis repairs. Those mystery studs that come up from the cross member over the rear axle were great for judging getting the...
Sure, this was a feature on some Milford cargo barriers.... design the barrier to fit in both positions, between 2nd/3rd row and also between 1st/2nd row. And then just design two sets of mounts.... or if you can design the mounts to fit both...
*UPDATE*
A few weeks ago I purchased a 2000 100 series with 270K miles to drive and develop some 100 series products.
The 100 series power window wiring is superior to the 80 series. Toyota definitely made improvements to the system. The 100...
If the pressures, heights, bushings, globes, bleeding, etc are all ok, it might come down to the sensors.
The AHC ECU adjusts damping according to road conditions. Road condition is determined by the frequency and amplitude of changes in the...
Fair enough - I'm technically curious mostly about the data capture aspect of it to extend my existing analogue capture unit that's all. I will be getting into this myself in the near future but exploring the CAN control route the Teyes app is...
Alright - coming back to this having done some science today!
Here's the setup - block of wood on top of some foil, on top of a pizza pan. Zip tie & terminal cover side by side.
I started at 200F - once it reached that temp, I let it heat...
Something like this has been on my todo list for a few years, as a 100 series specific extension to my existing sensor data acquisition node (analog temps, pressures, EGT etc) I use in my 80, but I've had other priorities while my 100's were...
