A quick update on the Bosch iBooster brackets:
I finally received the first production batch and have started assembling hardware kits for fitment. The firewall-side brackets are complete and ready to go. The only remaining item is the master...
while this will decrease pedal effort and increase clamping force, it might also accelerate brake fade and warping of the rotors if used on the stock brake system
Brakes come down to generating heat and then shedding that heat. If this setup...
Interested for my trail 80. I have been looking to help the brakes out but don't have huge $$$ for big brake kits etc. I removed the ABS system awhile ago and that really helped with braking but I still want better, firmer brakes. So basically...
I've seen a few of these done over the years, and honestly the biggest headache is always the frame - not the camper itself. The 80 series unibody is tough, but putting a hard-mounted camper body on it means you're creating a leveraged moment arm...

thx for that, just following up on this thread now, right now I am just tossing the idea around, COG makes sense, just trying to see if it's possible. Most likely wouldn't run stuff like the Rubicon with it, so light to moderate wheeling. I may...
A couple people have put complete dolphin cabs on the 80 chassis. I saw one example of a 60 that did a cab chop and integrated the camper onto it, though I think they cut it after the first row.
Anything is possible if you're determined enough...
Personally, I would buy a 1 ton, put four wheel camper on it, and then you also got a tow rig....
I think Center of Gravity will be off, unless you stretch the wheelbase.
@White Sheep rig is a sweet. Using his rig as an example, if you...
