yeah ive had some issues with that in the past but not recently. New twist- The engine light and VSC lights stayed off but the tach and oil pressure stopped working. Fast forward went on a grocey run with the kiddos and the tach and oil...
i thought it was the stepper motors also and had planned on fixing those but it seems weirdly coincidental especially since both appeared to start working at exactly the same instance.
History- About 6 months ago my VSC lights came on. Truck ran great so just ignored it as i didn't have time to dive into it. About 3 months ago the check engine light came on and around the same time noticed the tach and oil gauges were not not...
mine has been in NY for close to 11 years. garaged but over 200k of driving upstate ny from the city.
there is surface rust but it definitely is not that bad. i love the ahc and think it drives great with it so id rather keep it personally.
The AHC is fairly robust. if new lines are installed i imagine that it could last 5 years just fine. mine has a lot more miles than yours and it rides great.
I drive by Kingston almost every weekend. The winters in/around NY can be rough on a cruiser. Mine spent its first 10 years in AZ so the rust situation isnt quite that bad. Ive put on around 180K in the area and mine is still decent...
swap the EFI fuse with a new one. Some people have even swapped with a 30amp fuse. Sounds like similar issue i had and it was the fuse. I had replaced pump and filter and finally the fuse. I wasnt that upset as the truck has 315K so i...
Hey Tom. I kind of figured that- Cant imagine a place that could accommodate that kind of party! Yes mentioned the other items as my truck is up around 315K miles. i just wanted to tackle all of it at once. Thanks for providing this option...
this is a great idea... maybe even better if we could all wrench at the same time! your a bit far from me but if timing worked out i'd make the drive. mine is due for a major service at 320k. will be replacing alternator, starter, timing belt...
Could be EFI fuse in the main fuse box, look around for how to jump it to the battery temporarily, see if that solves it. If it does, move to one of the permanent solutions.
Update. placing an order for a luxury premium. the dealer was willing to deal on a 700. but the wife says GX. i see great pics of the 700 but when i see one on the street it falls flat. huge looking bulbous rear end and that rear window cannot...
i had one fall off of my lx470 on the side closest to the radio- not sure if its exactly the same. It was a 2 piece slider design that clamps together. There is also a piece that controls the flapper. This part fell off and was right next to...
CVs once the sales hit are pretty well priced. I hate having to deal with swapping the CVs so spending and extra 100-175 is pretty good peace of mind. Especially if im gettting a longer interval.
