thanks nakman!
I agree w/r multi arm use.
I'll have a lot of time on my hands in the next 3m. will contemplate other ball mount locations that may improve stiffness.
Darn good work!
Yeah sure, here's a quick one... will get better footage in the future with better sun angles, etc. but I think you can see it pretty well. All the wiggles on the big tablet are from the extended Ram arm setup... having an arm attached to an...
Quick update here... first fit check of the 98-2002 100 series dash mounts took place yesterday. Overall very successful, these are going to be really awesome the goal is "no mods" relative to the dashboard bezel, or anything visible. There...
I agree and that’s how mines setup tankless
And IMO it’s fast.
But I run Beadlocks so not much chance of popping a bead. And that’s where a tank shines resetting a bead 😉
Quick little install of the @nakman dash accessory shelf. Let me tell ya. This thing is beef! Easy install and very strong. Added an ALpine single din, because, I like a volume knob ;). Not done yet but usable for now.
why the tank? Unless you're running an air locker, or train horn, or '64 Impala suspension... the tank is just getting in the way of filling tires. sure it'll feel like the first half of the first tire is a little quicker to fill, but then it...
Ok kids, here we go. The first batch of the 100 series dashboard accessory shelfs is in stock and ready for immediate shipping. Here's the web page with updated photos, detail, and installation video. 100 Series Dashboard Accessory — Gamiviti...
Yup. definitely a little wind noise, and I seem to notice it a bit more with the window open, and without anything attached to it (just the plate).
Also yes, you can use the same brackets to support our Multi Plate.. it wasn't the intention...
Ha! I forgot about that pic, that's awesome... that's Jade... she's a good helper.
anyway one of the advantages of the cross bars & wing bracket option is that the cross bars lap over the top of the side rails, so they're up a little higher...
The OE rack itself is fine for occasional RTT use. It's the OE crossbars that are lacking. Some people replace the OE crossbars with 80/20 type extrusions but the RTT mounts can get pretty close to the roof and cause damage should it flex. I...
thanks! and yes 6 towers definitely better than 4.. . most full racks these days are getting 8. Not sure what you are asking with multi directional... but feel free to shoot me a PM or email if you want to dive into something specific.
That’s excellent. I’ll be picking up one when you’ve got them ready to roll.
Edit: and I should have said, we've been rocking one of your roof racks on my wife's 80 for over a year. Dig it.
Thank you, and yes that's the plan... need to get this one going first, then will take a closer look at the early 80 series... I'm also working on a 6th gen 4Runner version, and the earlier model 100 series as well.
Thanks to adobe I was able to print out the drawing in several sheets and then glue them to a cardboard sheet, giving me a close enough view or how it'll look. So far so good, some minor tweaks but overall fit well. Now onto the mounting brackets!
Really appreciate the knowledge!
The plan is to connect it to the grab handles, just getting the barrier part created first so I know where the handles should line up. They'll look very similar to your speski rack. (I would buy a speski if they...
cool! my only comment after owning a few of these would be to try to make it mount to the grab handles only, and not the headrests.
Requiring me to "undo" something before I can flip the seat forward is enough of a pain that I end up just...
yeah Marc come on up! But it's really only about 1' difference.. the mount locations in front are really close just like they are on the 100 series, and they taper the front mount back a ton so the rail doesn't start until pretty far back...
You can probably pick up a stock LC200 rack for cheap or free from a member upgrading to aftermarket. That would add an extra 2' or so to the length of the rack and the LX has the mounting points for it. I know @nakman usually has some lying...
