Oh man, sorry to hear it Juane but it sounds like you have the solution in your head, just need help with the implementation. Additionally, Dustin is a top notch fabricator/designer, but this design has proven itself to be faulty over the long...

Indeed, Ali, Dustin, the guy who conceived, designed and fabricated this trailer made a huge investment in time, effort and expense. And it all worked out pretty well except his suspension design. And he even had an engineer involved. It took...

Thanks, Mauser. I'm looking at my options and will be in touch.

Since my post I talked to Cruise Master and it looks like their XT system is the ticket. The components, swing arm pivot/mounts, spring/airbag and shock mounts can be welded to a fabricated subframe. The layout and welding done on a bench rather...

I'm looking for someone, in the Four Corners region of the US, who can design, build and install a trailing-arm independent suspension system to replace the poorly-designed system currently installed in this trailer. Or, alternatively, install a...

That's how I found out about the sport, riding MtBs out there. great place for biking and hiking, too. I got into the sport in late 80's and rode until around 2008. I got decent at it. Great local club and had a blast riding those motorcycles...

They've been holding these events out there for many years in this area that we called Red Mesa (just north of the highway from White Mesa). We used to bicycle all over that area and once coming upon a trials event by happenstance and being...

There's the problem - they slowed down. If they'd have kept it up around 80 mph, they would've been fine!

I just had an OTT tune done (Top-Quality Toyota Tuning Products | Overland Tailor | Overland Tailor Tuning - https://overlandtailor.com/) and the tech answered my question - no 5th in low range.

Road conditions would typically allow for 30 MPH. But revs too high…..

Smooth sandy two-tracks allowing for 30 or more MPH. My limitation is RPMs. I just spent a week in SE Utah, Canyonlands area, specifically. If you’re familiar you know what I mean about fast sections followed by rocky technical spots.

Back in the day I used to hit 55-60 with way too tall gears and a stick shift. If you dont mind revs I can hit low 30a but its really pushing the engine revs wise. Also, truck behaves differently when you come out of 4lo so i tend to stay...

I tow an off-road trailer which my final gear ratio makes tolerable and when not towing makes driving all the more enjoyable. I’ve had two 100 series with 4.88s and 33s which, surprisingly, was a great combo.

Not that I am aware of. If so, I am in. I even run up against it with oem gears cause I like doing rally stages.

Might need to ask the tuners that have access to the transmission tuning to remove the limit on low range. Another idea is to make a low range signal detection bypass from the 4WD ecu in the glove box. The bypass basically fool the ECU from...

You'd probably need to talk to a tuner directly to inquire if they could do it. IMO it would also be a nice add on a 470.

Can this be programmed? I’m finding myself on trails that combine relatively high speed sections where 4th gear, low range is too low, with slow speed technical spots requiring low range and 1st, 2nd or 3rd. I don’t want to have to constantly be...
