Since some of you are into parting out 80's now.... would anyone happen to have a spare rear wiper control module available? It is located in the upper gate. I had some funky electrical things going on that I have traced back to a couple of blown diodes inside this module. I think it is the same for all years but the part number on mine is 85940-60020. Expensive little sucker.

Thanks!
Eric

Looking for a decent tub for a 75. I have a cowl and rear tub that need work but if I can find a decent complete tub it would save me alot of body work time.

Just a heads up, I am picking up two trailer loads full of parts this week. Probably something for everyone...
Four 33x10.5x15 Swampers, carbs, assorted body parts, 3 sets of doors, two hard tops, jump seats, front seats, custom roll bar, two sets of drum axles and more.

I never got the parts. I went to get them and they were not in the condition that the seller described or showed in pictures.
Also, the tires were 12.5' not 10.5". I wasted 4 hours...boo.

There is a bit of work to get a 93/94 engine to work with a 95+ truck. It can be done though.

Minitruck parts including $75 live front axle

Parting out 84 toyo 4x4 tranny,transfer etc

I'd buy it just 'cause, but it's far to go. I'm sure if someone wanted to go get it we could work an equitable trade for your time.

Not exactly sure at this point, but is related to the head. The 80 is at Wally's now so we'll know soon. Apparently, a dealer in VT had it for a while and could not fix it. It was overheating and started blowing smoke, which is why he took it in. Probably HG or cracked head. Dealer replaced the lower rad hose which promptly blew off 2 miles after he left the dealership, and they didn't know what was causing it.

sounds like a typical HG, no need to start looking for a new engine.

Hopefully you're right. I got all this second hand and something was said about "ugly engine noises", whatever that means. The fact that the dealer had no idea what was wrong is puzzling.

Dealers are pretty clueless.

Nat went back to the dealer where we got that red 80 from and talked with the service guy. Seems after two mechanics and a third master mechanic who logged in 8 hours of trouble shooting, they determined the truck unrepairable.

Two hours of our time produced a repaired, perfectly running 80.

Wtb: 255/85-16 MT, FJ60 Driveshafts

I'm looking for:
  • a 255/85-16 mud tire for a spare. A BFG M/T would be a plus to match my other tires. Must hold air!
  • a good used front driveshaft, with no play in the slip yoke!
  • perhaps a rear drive shaft as well...

I have a 60 series PS pump and a 40 series aluminum radiator I'd like to sell.

Also still have that pile of split rims.

Just remembered I have a brand new gray front PVC mat for a 60 series.
