got my 80 today

well i finished lifting a 94 geo tracker for my buddy today basically rebuilt the who dam truck and he gave me his 80 for $1,300 now that what i call a good deal. (i will get pics of it Monday)
the 80 is a 94 good shape the only problems is it need a passenger mirror and a new front bumper no problem tho i was going to put an arb on anyhow other then that its in great shape

also got my amsteel blue winch line on the 4runner today even got to use it to pull the 80's front bumper out where it should be

what an awesome way to end the week

These sliders:

Metal Tech's 80 Series Sliders

This lift (w/ adjustable panhards):
Slee - Toyota 80 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Suspension
PS - i did not need the adjustable rear upper control arms. I would also opt OUT of the Slee Castor Correction plates and get LandTanks.

Tires:
Since the runner is going to be your trail rig, are you going to get A/Ts so you will have a better snow vehicle?

That's a steal. Roughly what's the GVWR on an 80? There's a lot of good deals on them right now, and I'm wondering if one could tow my 40 on a trailer.

Why spend 4X the cost of the truck for armor?

80 are not gaining value for now. Consider tube on the bumpers after the stock ones are dead. Build the sliders from a prefab kit otherwise shipping will kill ya. I wonder if Landtank would be interested in a slider fab. weekend? I want sliders mounted before I see any trails with my truck. I would consider IPOR transfercase armor, seem like a good deal for the protection given.

I do agree about landtank's caster plates, IMO they are the best setup currently out.

Once you wheel that double locked beast the Runner will be packed in moth balls. That thing going to be ready for Aug 7th?

it will be a close call if the truck will be ready or not, but after buying all the stuff for it my wallet wont be ready

got the 80 all cleaned up and took it out back to see how she would do on some hill climbs i can say is wow

even with balding tires and the diff lock switch off the truck climbed right up the hill no tire spin nuthin

cant wait to try it with a 4" lift and some 35's
