Gary, If this thing gets legal I need to have you drive it, I can't tell if all the gear box noise is normal or if something is misaligned or whatever (from the swap). It shifts smoothly and easily and puts down the power fine but clutch-in/clutch-out changes the noise... not sure how to describe it really.

Just called to confirm they had the keys and note.

Throw out bearing, is that a tough fix?

Oh yeah, I need a smaller diameter steering wheel, anyone got one? My fat gut is a real problem in this truck.

I floated the idea to my wife of her leaving me behind but it was soundly rejected. So it's a weekend in Limerick, ME with her family, which is fine as I get along great with them all.. they are Jeepers though. Her dad and brother are just about done with a CJ7 restomod and her brother has taken apart his big buggy and built a big Scrambler. So we have plenty in common.

Are the later FJ40 stock wheels any smaller then the early Pig wheels?

Not if-when this thing is legal. Bring it down, I have some trails in the back 40

dave, the fact that this is the longest thread in the history of Yankee Toys on MUD should indicate that you need to KEEP this truck!
