On the bright side, there is zero frost in the ground so maybe mud season will be short...albeit in June

I'll gladly trade places with ya. Just spent all mornin plowin puddles, again. Seems like it can't snow in Ct without rainin twice as much at the tail end of the storm. I've never seen so much rain in February than we just had. Bummer, but such is Yankee life.

We drove thru Kina's area on Sunday, it was amazing how much snow they had there!
Starting from Conway and south to about Laconia you couldn't see over the snow banks.
4-5' of snow up on the roofs, we saw one house where the snow had slid off of the metal
roof and it was piled up all the way to the eaves. Snowmobilers are pretty happy this year!

Willy looks great and very stylish I might add.

How about some more pics of the snow up there. Time to wake Frankie for play time.

Really Really Really Really didn't want to come into work today. Been here for and hour already and only send one email that was work related. Thought about taking the day off but I think that the weather is supposed to be crappy later.

On a side note, yesterday I cut through the 60 I am parting out with a sawsall. Now I have two large pieces.

just got in an argument with my boss... went to the local coffee shop to work from there (free wireless everywhere in austin) and a bird shit in my coffee. thankfully i noticed it plop in or i would have drank it, it looked no different that the cream in there.

the truck is going to be between $1 and $2k and that doesnt count the A/C which is completely blown. it'll be $1,500 for parts and labor. not doing that right now. so, the truck will be perfect in a few months.

i am going to do what dave does. dave keeps the pig, i keep the 80, dave sells the pig, i sell the 80. already trying to warm up the wife to the FJCruiser trail teams edition.

it all doesnt matter because south by southwest starts next week... wooooooooooooo hooooooooooooo

I got to take my first dip in the "non profit" end of the pool here at HCI. Our big humanitarian project is the Human Capital Foundation.

Yesterday I got their blog set up, today I showed one of their people how to post, and jumped straight into video, something I've never done before. Found a shareware program to rip the DVD that one of their volunteers made into iMovie and got that up online. Fun!

Blog: The Human Capital Foundation
Current site: Home

I'm going to spend next week designing a completely new web site for the Foundation to separate them from our corporate site and structure. niiiiice

I used to have nightmares about leaving my old job and failing miserably somewhere else or, worse yet, winding up slinging pizza again. I'm happy to report that this job move has been, unequivocally, the best career move I've ever made.

That seasonal Visa problem has been rampant since 9-11. The govt has been sluggish at best processing foreigners for part-time seasonal work that many summer businesses depend on. I sold wine on Nantucket and MV for years and every Spring it was literally a lottery as to whether you would even get back the same, dependable people that had worked in the same stores and restaurants for years.

That POS mustang I bought is leaving in 1 hour. Good riddance and a pox on the scumbag that tried to rip me off.

I was so angry that I just bought a BJ44 with A/C. That'll teach him!!!

spent all day in meetings with our PR crew from DC, a gret day really. Still loving the new diggs.

Off to my "book club" tonight at the Flying Goose Brew Pup in New London. This months book was World War Z, and I highly recommend it... great zombie book.

I recommend watching Lolita with Jeremy Irons on Saturday night. It might be perverse enough to really creep her out.

I probably will be hiding out in the garage which will be extra creepy since I don't have any cars or cruisers at the moment.

The Goose is a few minutes down the road from me. They make some pretty decent brew.
