Cool; it has a winch, but I was only planning on using it as a means to haul a chain saw, loppers, shovel and other tools around to work sites.

Gus, I don't think that is a problem but I asked the NEA just to be sure. Presumably it's all NH registered?

All set for ATV as long as it's legally NH registered. This area has been an organized ATV area for a long time in fact, the 4x4 truck thing is reletively new.

Any problem with one of our members bringing their ATV? Using it as a means to haul a chain saw, loppers, shovel and other tools around.

Not at all!

In fact I recommended ATV's/RUV's to out members!! I know at least a half a dozen that have them.

Just got home, they were running Wambus when I left. I'm beat!!!
Good turn out today. We cut a long trail from the bottom of the hill
down near Landslide trail all the way up to Wambus. The exit for the new
trail is right across the road from the Wambus entrance.
I would say this trail is about 3 times the length of Wambus.
Will be a tough trail when it's all broken in. Will probably be rated HARD.
North Country Cruiser guys, Kina, Gary this is your kind of trail (Gary was there today
with his Phase 3 FJ40) Thing works great!
Time for a beer.

Lane

You'll have to wait until fall and hope Shumate doesn't make it to any trailcuts! : )

I don't have a problem coming back out and help cutting more trails. Now this is going to sound selfesh I'm sure but putting my time into cutting more trails that I won't be able to traverse really isn't all that motivating for me.

The long moderate trail in plan C is where I would like to focus my time with.

My wife's parents I enjoy, Sara's cousin? Well... that's usually interesting. As long as we get a little fishing time in the morning I'm cool.

Just got back from the cut, they are running it right now to break it in.
Nice trail. It starts at the end of Wambus, runs west and down hill then turns
south and works its way back up towards the beginning of Wambus.
It ends on the trail we cut a few weeks ago. (Porcupine Ridge)
Lots of nice rock gardens along the way. It is much flatter than Porcupine
more like Wambus. I tried to cut wide for you wagon guys! Once it get broken in a bit I'll
go back and cut down some of the old tree stumps that will show up.
Took a break to refuel my saw and while walking back thru a large briar patch I
flushed out a big Turkey! If I'd gone 2 more feet I'd have stepped on him. Never
saw it until it jumped up and flew away!
Gary, there were a bunch of Jeep guys from up your way, they new you and most have had Rodney
work on their rigs. (Cherokee in the shop getting a cage right now, nice OD green Wrangler with
the round holes in the hood).
Oh yea, it rained the whole time and stopped about 10 minutes before we finished.
A good day!

as soon as you left the sun came out and we spent the remainder of the day getting stuck on rocks. Scerb (not in YT) rode on two wheels like a monster truck for a while and actually saved it. it was incredible!!!

Its odd - the same thing happened at Field and Forest when some of the buggy guys cut a trail there. A porcupine sat in the tree and watched all day.

I think I've spent too much time cutting trails with rock buggies...it never looks that tough to me. I think the lower half of the Wambus is going to be easier than the upper section. Time will tell once all the moss, pine needles, and leaves are knocked off the rocks.

BTW the trail we cut on 5/31 does have by-pass trails for the hard obstacles.
