Made it home ok thanks to a great bunch of wheel'n buddies. Thanks again for everyones help, would have still been there in the woods whittling parts from trees...Ha Ha! Yup, fried my rock box hopping under full throttle, dam V8. only the low gear. Called Advanced Adapters and they don't make the thing anymore!
Said they have had one other low gear pop a tooth. Even though I bought it in 05 they said they'll send me whatever parts I need F.O.C.! And if they don't have the parts they'll work with me on a new orion. Props to AA! ...... The fuel filter in my oil cooler line held up nicely. Manual steering isn't that bad when your roll'n. And I've gotta get that guys name who's vice grip is still on my rear brake line. Just another day in the woods!

6/8/08 Brushy Cut List

Sorry for the late notice, but if anyone is interested...

[quote]6/8/08 Brushy Cut List
Date: Sunday June 8th, 2008
Time: Meet at 9:00am, Roll at 9:30 am
Place: ***Meeting at Trail Head, RSVP TO Paul Regish***
Directions: Email Paul@Johnregish.com

The Plan: Continuing old skidder trail clearing from 04/19/08 and 4/27/08 cut/recon trips.
Recon write-up from Bill Barnes: JACKPOT!!! I created a northerly ridge route that takes us to some of the toughest stuff in the area. We'll be months developing it, but first...we're cutting the access trail to it on Sunday. BTW...from the P-line...it's practically right under our noses.

Bring: Gloves, winches, straps, bug juice, water, chainsaws, clippers, and your rig. We will be clearing slash from a recent logging operation, not dropping any trees. The faster we get this done, the faster we wheel the trail.

RSVP to Paul@Johnregish.com if you're in. Then please respond again if/when you back out.

Moose Mtn Cut and Wheel Sat June 14 2008

Quote:
Bring chain saws, brush cutters, shovels, gloves, insect repellent, and your rig. I will be compiling the previous cut info this week to plan specific areas to cut. Wheeling on Sunday? Let's talk it up.

Meeting place to share rides:

Park and Ride Exit 8 off the FE Everett Turnpike in Nashua NH - meet up and depart by 7:00 am Saturday Morning. I will be driving my Dodge Ram and I can take three people not bringing their rigs. Call me at 978-490-5268 if you would like share rides.

We plan to gather at the meeting spot at 8:30-9:00 on Saturday MA
DIRECTIONS:
Take I-89 North to exit #11.
Take RT-11 EAST into Andover.
The meeting spot is just beyond the intersection of Routes 11 and 4A at the Blackwater Junction Restaurant & Store

The store at the meeting spot has food, gas, air, and sundries. There will be some road travel to the property from there. You can park extra vehicles and trailers at the meeting spot.

The exact address is
Blackwater Junction Restaurant
730 Main St, Andover, NH

I am trying to get word on the condition of the Class VI access road and if we can get the trailers into the landing at the property. Non-streetable rig can trailer up Route 4 to Grafton, NH turning left on Prescott Hill Road leading to the property.

Please post around and PM me if you can attend. nea4wd.org :: View topic - Moose Mtn Cut and Wheel Sat June 14 2008

Swanzey trail

I went up to the trails this morning and marked off 4 more loops.
One is going to be Stock friendly, it's not easy but it will be fun!
With the other loops I tried to varie things a bit for the Moderate guys.
They aren't straight up the hill but they will be rocky.
I'll have a date picked soon, mid July.

Lane

If you have a crew, go with it but this is the same day as the DWE truck show. I'm out and many others are as well as the show directly supports the NEA ($$$$) I would hope people that aren't here cutting attend the show....the show is open to ALL vehicle types....I just want people to remember that the funds for trail signs and bridges come from events like this show.

If this is the only date that works I understand. I was going to post for the bridge building on the 26th, following weekend.

I'll be there with saws, loppers, etc. anything else needed for tools/supplies?

If anyone from CT is interested in carpooling I've got an open seat to the Swanzey post office, from there we'll have to hitch a ride with someone else.

Moose Mtn Cut and Wheel Sunday August 3rd

Moose Mtn Cut and Wheel Sunday August 3rd

Please contact schwalby AT hotmail.com if you are planning to attend.

Quote:
Scott, Ian and I have marked a bunch of new trails so lets go get them cut. Bring the normal tools chain saws, brush cutters, shovels, gloves, insect repellent, and your rig. I am hoping to do the normal half day cut half day wheel (unless we get real ambitious) If anyone wants to wheel Sunday I will be more then happy to go back up then to.

Would like to gather at the meeting spot at 8:30-9:00 on Saturday
Blackwater Junction Restaurant and Store. Lets meet behind the store and restaurant so we do not crowd the front and block parking.

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-89 North to exit #11.
Take RT-11 EAST into Andover.
The meeting spot is just beyond the intersection of Routes 11 and 4A.

The store at the meeting spot has food, gas, air, and sundries. There will be some road travel to the property from there. You can park extra vehicles and trailers at the meeting spot.

The exact address is
Blackwater Junction Restaurant
730 Main St, Andover, NH

Last time I was up you could get a trailer up the easier of the two class six roads but there would be risk of damage to the trailer. So do it at your own risk.

Please post this up on your club sites and PM me who can attend I will try to keep an update list here.

Thanks,
Josh

Was a very productive day out in the woods. The thunder and lightning
didn't seem to bother us to much.
Have a nice big loop cut with many good obstacles and the potential for
many more.
This trail will be on the moderate side, a lot like F&F.

Another Moose Mt wheel and cut.
If you guys have an NEA account you can view some pictures from this past weekends cut.

It is that time again hehe. I love this MTN so much I am going back August 30th through the 31st. So this will be a two day cut and wheel. I know it is a holiday weekend but hey it is the woods and its like camping Very Happy There is room at the entrance to camp for those that want to camp over and leave the next day or join us for a second day of cutting.

Bring the normal tools chain saws, brush cutters, shovels, gloves, insect repellent, and your rig. I am hoping to do the normal half day cut half day wheel (unless we get real ambitious) If we do a lot of cutting Saturday most likely Sunday will be left for just wheeling. the trails need to be run to pack them down.

Would like to gather at the meeting spot at 8:30-9:00 at the
Blackwater Junction Restaurant and Store. Lets meet behind the store and restaurant so we do not crowd the front and block parking.

We spent most of the day building. The bridge in the pictures is 16' long and 12' wide and was built in the landing and dragged to the site it was put into by first two vehicles then the skidder when they got stuck with the bridge. I worked on building an 10' long by 12'wide bridge in place ever a stream. We didn't get to do any wheeling by the time we had lunch it was 3ish and everyone wanted to get home.
