[QUOTE=BikerTrash;4382450]I dont know, what sound does an empty wallet and two new heads make?
guess that depends on the sound the two heads are makin when you present the empty wallet to one of the heads

Anybody here ever put a car muffler on a Generator? I have heard it quiets it quiet a bit compaired to the stock spark arrestor that they come with.
I have been eyeing the eu2000i hondas but after reading a bit it seems those are not able to run even a little 5000 BTU air conditioner without popping the inverters on them. I figure if I can get my 5500 watt generac quiet I could run the a/c plus lights, no problem. Hotplate for cooking would be nice as well.

Mostly for time reasons and the ease of going pick out what I want. I want it sturdy as we'll be sleeping on it.

Pertronix
I have a 73' FJ40
Got a Pertronix Ignitor & Flame thrower Coil. Disconnected or by passed old Ballast Resisitor & Condensor as suggested by them. Getting Spark from coil but not out of dizzy. Returning it all but forgot how to hook up old system all the way from coil to ballast resistor, condensor, points, everything is blank. Does anyone have pics!?

I started putting the metal front end on my 40 today. I have the bib and driver side fender on, but the battery tray is in the way of the passenger fender. I was doing a search for different options and there was a post by Larry but the link to the picture was dead.
Larry, do you have any pics available? The guy you responded to had a red optima mounted vertically where the blower motor used to be.

Yep, I made one using the blower motor mounting bolts with a battery tray out of angle iron and a solid back plate to cap it off from the inside. It sat a 1/2 inch off the pass fender. Reminds me I'll likely have to come up with another for Dad I didn't see it in the pile of parts though I maybe able to source a factory one here since it still has the F in it. Bring some metal Sat we'll mock it up. Percy guidry probably has some scraps you can buy that'll do the trick.

Yea, I wouldn't trust it. Ask Josh he has one I've only seen it work for the one pull in Gray Rock and very slow but that maybe the one pull that gets you out of a bind

800 or 8000#?
If its the 8000 w/ rope and farelead for $400 that is an awesome deal the rope itself sells for 200.

how did you get that deal? which rope did you get?
im lookin at the XRC8 winch with 3/8" 100" amsteel blue rope at just over 600$ that amsteel blue stuff is more expensive as that smittybilt winch
edit: it was 700 with shipping, the xrc8, and the amsteel rope from 4wd.com. you can get the same stuff for almost exactly 100 less (even shipping) form the winchdepot.com. their shipping is only $10, and their amsteel blue is around $30 cheaper too.
their 10k winch is $400 too....might be a good winch for the hundy....

LOL my brother went to the local mud ride (if yall remember the video I made a while back, its that one) in his new "toy" GMC K2500
In his words he was racing a guy, hit a ditch underwater and heard a "Pop then something hitting something else" then lost his front wheel drive.
I am thinking the drive chain in his transfer case let go but I would have thought that it would have blown out the case when it did. I know nothing about chain drive cases though. Any input on what he can do with it?(besides burn/bury) I think he has a NP241C in it. 95 3/4 ton GMC with a five speed ahead of it.
Best part is the inner LoLs I had when my brother asked me just where under a truck the transfercase is so he could go look at it to see if the one he was looking at on eBay was the right one for his truck.
