Rick, there are a few threads started below this one that you can contribute to - like submitting a profile, a thread on the mods you've done, hunting LC's in your area, etc. Just start punching away. The profile part is one of the most important since now you've paid your dues, we'll add your info to the web site.
And please post those pics of past meetings and shoot us some ideas on what we can do about heading out your way and also helping to recruit from your area.

Hey guys, here's another pic from one of our meetings down in N.O. We used to meet on the Riverview (aka the Fly) behind Audubon Zoo. Do y'all have special BSLCA cards that you put on potential members' rigs when you spot them or just a personal card with a note written on the back?

We have some cards that we hand out. Many of us just sign the back w/ a short note as well.
If you send me your address... I can mail you some if you'd like.

Thanks Scott, I'll email you my address. I know of about 5 or 6 FJ40's in the immediate area but there's a lot of 60's & 62's, especially in the Uptown area (usually soccer moms, cool soccer moms, that is!).

I was up that way last weekend and saw one 60 at Loyola's Law School graduation. The rest of the time I was uptown, I saw nothing but Rovers. They were everywhere!
I usually take my business cards and write a brief note on the back (ask Tabascoloco). Right now I'm driving around with a folder of flyers for our upcoming show at Musson Patout in New Iberia.
One of these days we'll make more cards to offer all our members for recruiting purposes. Good luck rounding up those 40s and any other model LC's over there. We wish you the best and again, welcome.

Hey guys,
I went to BSLCA.com and did the membership and ordered shirts for myself and my son via paypal. After that I read a thread where you may only have one color. That is fine with me. I guess I will get them if I can make it to the beach run in August.

We'll be working on the shirt order, and hopefully get that out this week. Right now we're only doing the one color you can see it in the shirt thread.
Welcome bud, we look forward to meeting you.

New BSLCA member
I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you guys a little bit about my cruisers. My name is Isaac LeBourgeois. I have been a Cruiser head for 18 years. I have owned 7 Land Cruisers in my life. I currently own a 1979 BJ-40, 1982 FJ-40 and a 1984 FJ-60. I have had my FJ-60 for a long time. I have put 580,000 miles on her with really no problems. She has carried me to the Panama Canal and back. She has conqured many volcanoes and mountains with only a 2 1/2 lift and swampers as far as mods go. She is now ready for a small restore project but still runs like the day I got it. My BJ-40 lives in Costa Rica on some property that I have there. I have not been able to climb to the top of the property yet. She is bone stock. I will be returning there next month with lockers and a 4 inch lift kit. I have never had lockers but I think they will be the ticket. My FJ-40 has shackle reversal, 4 inch lift, 33's and Downey headers and exaust. I look forward to meeting you all in near future and thanks again Cole for introducing me to this forum and BSLCA. I will post pictures of my rigs asap.
