hello everyone, My name is Ryan Poisso, I'm a good friend of Marty Cannon. He talked me into signing up on this website. I am in the process of trying to find an old Cruiser to fix up, and will need help when the time comes. I live in West Monroe, but work in Lafayette often. Would like to meet some of you when I come in town to talk about Cruisers.

I didn't make any cracks.. b/c I didn't believe him.. I just thought you paid him to say that
The was b/c for the last 7 months we've been telling you to talk to that dude about the 1/2 doors on that truck and/or the whole truck for us (and I think Landry wanted something for the '67)...
Having said that.. I hope Ryan is able to bring it to life...even with the 1/2 doors
I like you...lol...but you still suck

Thanks guys, i appreciate the help. Marty and I discussed LC's a while back and I told him that I always wanted to find something to fix up and rebuild. I love doing stuff like that, and it will keep me out of the house so the wife can't find something for me to do inside, honey-do related. I'm not sure about the meeting, Marty just got me set up on the website today. We'll just have to see when it is and if I'm going to be in town at that time. From what I understand though, I'll definetly need help in locating parts for the St. Gabriel Crusier. But it sounds like fun.

Ryan won't be using his for a while. When we go get it, just take them off and use them. Ryan will probably mount a gun rack back there anyway and won't need some doors.

Welcome bud , I hope to meet you soon. We have a great group of guys I'm sure Marty filled you in. Between the website and the clubhouse you'll find plenty stuff to tickle your new addiction. You'll fit right in and props to you for taking on that kind of (St Gabriel) project.

Not so fast Marty, I'm not that Redneck. I do have a little pride in my vehicle. Besides if you mount the gun rack back there, how are you going to get to your gun in a hurry when you need it. I prefer mounting it in-between the two front seets where it is easily accessible.

Yeah but you're redneck enough. I guess with the guns between the seats, the beer cooler must go behind the seat, right?

Welcome Ricardo!!!! I think it's great that you have joined our ranks. Some of the guys in our club have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience with these rigs. Best of all they are willing to share that. Often times, it's not just by communicating that but also by giving a helping hand. When I sold you the cruiser, I didn't know that BSLCA was being conceptualized. This reallly is a great group. I know you will enjoy being a part of it as much as I have.

That's awesome! Welcome Rick and company! Say, if you guys ever want to come down for a meeting, I'd be happy to escort you in my rig from the 310 and 90 junction. Nice easy ride IMHO.

Heck, I'm willing to road trip a meeting or two and park a buch of our rigs up on the top of the river levee for a get together. I hope to see you soon.

Thanks everyone for the nice welcome. I recognize some of the names on here, probably people I've pestered over the years to try to get a club going down here in New Orleans. At one time we had about 12 interested "members" and we had about 4 or 5 meetings. The white Cruiser on the left of the above picture was drowned in the Broadmoor area of N.O. during Katrina but the owner, John is planning on rebuilding it. I will do my best to scrounge up some of our old members to see if anyone is interested. Unfortunately, quite a few people moved away after the storm and I lost touch. I hope to make it to some of the meetings but I'll probably take my Tacoma instead of the 40. If anyone is in the area give me a shout. Hi Armond and Ricardo, nice to hear from y'all again. By the way, are there any dues to join? If so, who do I send them to? Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome
Look forward to meeting you bud.
You and Ricardo need to sign up here as well please: http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=148267
Dues: http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=133386
Just Paypal them to sales@bslca.com ...that'd do it.
Also....as you know you'd have to be a member of the TLCA (their requirements for the chapter)... which is still a good thing.
Welcome again
Scott

Thanks for the info, Scott. I just paypaled my dues and silverstar. I have been a member of TLCA since 1998 so that is already taken care of. My number is 7115 if y'all need that for your list. Larry, please let me know if you need any more info on me or my cruiser. I'm glad to be here. I'll post more pics from some of our meetings when I get a chance.
