The 4spd with the old 3spd transfer case is the best combo. I had it in my 70 model and would like to swap my 4spd case in the 78 with an older 3spd. All it takes is a gear kit to do so.
See last item at the bottom of the page.

Yea he has them priced high. 5K for both maybe. Talk to Eric to see what he sold them for. The red one wouldn't take much to be trail worthy the rust can be fixed as you go. Nice 8274 in the back of it too. You'd want to keep it out of the weather under your shed.

If anyone runs across some 315x75x16 AT tires, I prefer the BFG's or similar please let me know. I'm considering grabbing a set before my trip up to Tennessee. 2000 miles on the Cooper's don't sound like the best idea right now.

I had to go look back at the 80 thread I couldn't remember if it was the front or rear the 15's wouldn't fit. It was the rear calipers that didn't clear
