Scott,

Good day. I am contacting you because I have lost Dan Palmer and Mike Theriot's phone numbers. I have been doing fj's for over 25 years. Done over 20 0f them. I sold a couple to Mike and several fj60 and 62's here in lafayette and New Orleans. I know of you only because I stopped one day when I saw your "Monster" cruiser at Women's and Children's Hospital one day. I figured it was yours since it was in your parking space. I lived and worked in South Australia,( Adelaide, Gawler and Teal Flats.). Anyway,I have 3 fj's left. Been having them for years. I brought a 75 model back from N. Georgia 2 weeks ago. I had every intention of restoring it, but time and money won't allow at this time. I want to sell it. I figured I would contact the Club, you guys, and see if anyone was looking for a good unit to redo. It is a 1 owner, The University Of Georgia at Athens. It was purchased new with 78 miles on it and used until 1982 when it was decommissioned and stored. It is "All" there and runs and drives. It has all books and records, owners manual, sticker sheet, original bill of sale from dealer and service records. It does need complete restoration, however, it is not a basket case by any means. There is the normal rust, but no rust thrus on main body. Under the hood is very OK. It has 76,000 documented miles. Has the jump seats, hard top, factory,(small rims) and as I said, it's all there. I have restored ones in much worse condition. The oil in the crankcase is as clean as in a new can of oil. No engine or major mechanical is needed. Mainly tires, depending on type suspension one would choose,( lift or not), and a complete paint job, inside and out to make it like new again. If there is any interest in the club members, please call me on my cell....337 654 1300. I sent email to Dan, but he never replied. I have no idea how often he looks at his club address. I live in the Saints street area off West St. Mary. It is under my garage. By end of month, I will list it on craigslist and Ebay. I have sold everyone I put up there. I will also run it in the quarter. I wanted to try you guys first since I know you're as passionate about these as I am. I dislike tirekickers and idiots who come to look at a "Jeep". Thanks Doc. I have friends who know you, so I realize you are a physician. I drove 2 Landcruisers in Austalia, one on propane and the other on diesel. There's a ton of them there. All RHD though. But that was easy after awhile. Thanks for looking at this mail. Feel free to call me. I am asking $5,500.00 . That includes the 600.00 it cost me to get it here.

Glynn Leger...........friend of Dan and Mike. Haven't seen them in a while,...but they know me. have a good day.

mjdupuy is looking for an 80 in our area if possible. He's in Abita Springs. I offered him the 100 for sh*** and grins but I'm thinking he's aiming hard for the 80. If y'all know of one, holler at him.

Looking for stock FJ40 bucket seats

Looking for a set of factory bucket seats from a 1978 or earlier 40. I don't care about the condition of the upholstery as long as the frame is solid.

I have a 1977 Toyota FJ40 for sale. I purchased the truck from Washington state seven years ago. The truck has around $10,000 invested in work since I purchased it. It is mechanically sound and runs and drives great! Information below:

-Tan in color with desert camo exterior
-3 inch lift
-interior almost perfect
-full roll cage
-almost no rust at all
-adjustable Rancho shocks
-exhaust header recently added

jump seats are not installed but come with truck as well as extra parts.

Bump for price and pics:

$9000 negotiable

I'm waffling again...thinking about selling the 40 and FJC and getting an 80. $7500 for the 40 and 24k for the FJC, both are negotiable. The 40 is in limbo right now with the cage half done and no turn signals, but the fiberglass front (with turn signals) and stock rollcage can be put back on in a couple hours.

I've had a couple of calls on the 40 in the last day or two, so I wanted to make sure to let anyone in the club who was interested have first dibs on it.

Edit: Truth is, I don't like paying the note on the FJC anymore, especially with the new house/family/etc. It was fine when I was single but things have changed. I'd like to keep the 40 and get an 80, but if someone calling about the quickquarter add makes a reasonable offer it might be hard to refuse. Perfect world = 40, 80, and FJC in the driveway, with time to drive them all.
