Your friend can buy mine. Everything I have is for sale (disclaimer: except my kids). I would include my wife (broomrider), but no one wants her so I don't need to include her in the disclaimer. I need to get a trail rig anyway. I'm tired of missing out on all of the fun.

I can already hear that conversation with that friend. "I'm thinking about buying another rig, how about I sell you mine?" thats a great rig.

Yeah, the broomrider comment got a few folks here laughing the first time I posted it several years back. At one point, I was nervous about somebody using that as blackmail until I got to know everyone better. The truth is, I've got a good wife. If there was any truth to her actually being a broomrider, I'd never be able to joke about it here for fear of how she would react if she ever got wind of it. Of course, ther's 0% chance that she'll ever visit mud! Yall have a Happy Easter!!

Posted the 40 for sale in the main section. I have been obsessing over her for the last two weeks. I don't think it's a healthy obsession either!!!!

I hope it finds a good home locally. Did you try the quick quarter yet Brian?

Craigslist is fast, free, and painless too. I have had sucess selling a few motorcycles on that site without a hitch. Good luck.

My 82' FJ-40 is going on the chopping block. I thought I would post it here before I send her out to E-Bay. Right now she has two stuck exhaust valves but before I sell her I will have her running top notch. If anyone wants to make me an offer, bring it. This is not the "for sale section of Mud" so I will not put a price. If you have any questions you can call me at 985-237-0017 and I can fill you in on any details or pics. Larry, Scott, or some of the other club guys can tell you the shape she is in if you think I am bias (which I am). I am not banking on someone from the club buying her but thought I would give first option to the BSLCA boys and girls. I'll post some pics later.

Sorry to hear that Isaac I sure hope it stays around and finds a good home in the area or club. Its a great 40 I'll certainly pass the word.

Don't be sorry Larry, be happy . I just bought a 83' FJ-40 USA model with factory AC, power steering,5 speed tranny, ARB lockers, 8274, ARB bumper, rebuilt engine with 100 miles on it, new BFG MT rubbers, and other stuff that I will probably never understand what it actually does. The 82' can sit around the house as long as it wants, I just want it to go to a good home so it doesn't sit outside in the weather. I have a big heart when it comes to the preservation of the cruiser history and don't want the '82 to rot away. I even got off my ass and fixed my 60 series(with the kids advice)and it runs great.
Larry, I would sell my soul before I would get rid of a 40 without something to replace it.

Well then I'm definitely happy for you and glad to hear the 60 is back in action again. I'd love to add the 82 but I have no chance until the 67 is finshed. Now then lets see the new stallion in the stable

She isn't in the stable yet, but you have seen it before. My dad sold me his 83'. He wants to get a 80 series and just deosn't drive his as much being that he has two. He still has Mike's old 40 and that is his daily driver. The 83' sits outside and is just getting beat up by the weather. I'll try and dig some pics up.
You know the wife wouldn't mind if you had two red 40's. I can see you trying to explain "but baby, they are different".
