Sweet Marty. I almost bought one about 4 years ago just like that. I love the Black with silver. Hard colors to find. The one I wanted in the same color scheme sold the day I was going to purchase. After that my attention span lost interest because I could not find the same colors in my area and I never pursued another. So when are we going to have a wrenching session and mod it out? It has been a long time for a club wrenching. V8 is . I'm jealous.

I went the day it was posted online, which was Monday. I've practically memorized autotrader and cars.com, along with every other sales media. I had almost given up on Cruisers and was going to get a truck, but then this one appeared. I'm stoked. I've got some plans too, but they'll be after the holidays. Right now I need to learn the rig. I did put a few stickers on tonight. I had been collecting them and storing them in a folder.

No, I'm going to be a no show this weekend. Got other plans that I have to tend to. Sure wish I could though. I know my 6 year old is ready to go and if he knew, he'd be giving me hell to go.

Was checking out the progress on Randy's 62. Marty's old rig and the old girl is looking as fine as she ever has.

Now

I saw speedn3's Cruiser in person a couple of days ago. Very nice. Great job. Before and after pics side by side would be nice.

Ok I have officially fallin of the wagon. I ran into this 1980 fj40 sitting in a friends warehouse this week. So here is the scoop.

1980 fj40 all factory original(less tires and wagon wheels)
Has original 72000 miles
toyota original jack
Original Toyota tool bag and tools
original spare tire
all the original manuals
8000 lb winch
original floor mats
I took my two little girls for a ride this afternoon and it was the first time the rear jump seats and seat belts had ever been used.
I just couldnt pass it up. Runs and drives like a dream.

Congrats. I drove this with speedn3 on the maiden voyage and it is very tight. Feels and drives like new. Those may be stock wheels. I know mine are cheap American what ever but the late model 40's came with those white wheels. Maybe a little to spokey for factory but I am sure we can find out. Cruiser Fever............................. I saw the new 2009 HJ-70 truck versions in Costa Rica last time I was there and it is very tempting. With the Central American Free Trade Agreement that went into effect in January of 09 I can almost rationalize the price. If only I had a job............................................... ..

Do they fit perpendicular on the left side of your garage?

Oh Daryl, That is the original bed. I looked at mine this afternoon and it is the same pattern. I had been staring, sweating, throwing rocks, and sand into my 79' lately (same style as your green one) is what made me think twice. Once again, Congrats. Lets try and get some of the North Shore guys together for a beer or two.

Thanks Spark!!!!! I just pulled up the 1975 and pulled the 1980 in perpendicular behind it and it fits nicely. Only thing I dont like is it does take some jocking and on slip or mis judgement and you have wrecked two fjs. So I think the wifey is going to have to share her two car side of the garage instead of hogging the entire side for her one car.

That would probably lead to 2 vehicles being wrecked more than the perpendicular configuration. Just joking.
