That particular model by the manufacture. For just around $100 it may be worth the risk........other than the holes in your headliner.

Gotcha, I like the design and almost looks like a rear set of sunvisors that fold to the roof. I don't like the headrest units and we already have a setup with the two screens that velcro to the headrests that work great but whats nice is that you can pull it out and use it in the hotel rooms or camper like we did this weekend at Sicily or switch it to other vehicles. I would like something permanent in the 80 since it will be the road trip wagon yanking a popup around but I need gears, winch, and some 315's before I need monitors

Throw a cage on it and I'd sure pimp it.

I think the real problem is with the 18 wheeler re-tread stuff................that will kill you.
I have been graced by owning the worst non DOT tires and you can for the most part, feel when they are giving out.....or I have just been lucky.
The 18 wheelers don't even stop when they are throwing huge chucks of flying death. They wait until the adjacent tire is gone as well. to the guys who throw death.

I for one won`t run a tire past 5 years past in mfg date no matter how great it looks!!
the real problem is under inflation over loaded hot highway--- tires don`t like heat! then factor in age.
had a customer two years ago that I told to replace her tires Her statement to me was I just replaced one, don`t go far they look fine . two months late on her way back from LC blew left rear over corrected flipped at lest three times in the median crossed west bound came to rest right side up headed west outside of fog line.
she only received 18 staples to her head, totaled the vehicle and luckily didn`t collect anyone else in her off road excursion . mighty high price to pay for a set on tires.
TIRES ARE THE CHEAPEST INSURANCE YOU CAN BUY for you & your family!!!!!
Hell and to think I don`t even sell em LOL
One other thing how many of you have a GOOD gauge ? -------- and when was the last time you used it??
Well time to get off the soap box and go turn a wrench or two or three or--------------

Troopie Spotted in Metairie
I saw this Troopie last night at Duckworth Tires in Metairie. It had Florida plates on it. I called Duckworth Tires today to see if it was for sale and the guy told me he did not know, but once the owner gets the repair bill it might be??

That is neat. I've seen that on a couple of the expedition rigs. Same to you and I hope you and the family are enjoying your summer. Do you have any projects you're working on with the cruisers? Did I read that you have an 80 as well. I'd like to hear about it. I was always partial to the 40's but since I've been playing with this 80 I have a new passion and appreciation for their versatility and capability.

all of my projects are beautification projects. My cruisers are street queens so I have nothing Manly to brag about. My 80 is a 40th anniv. edition with 115k miles on it. I will shoot some pics and get them online this weekend. Take care
