We need to make the trip to Mississippi as well... fairly short ride. Looks like a decent rig.

Few Logos...
Been messin around w/ some logos just for fun and thought I'd post up some that I have and some that we thought about using... just for kicks. Of note Kowboy has given his blessing to the CCA one..lol.
When the name was still undecided:
When Bezels were "in":
When we figured out how much it would COST to produce and reproduce! (I still like it ..simple)
Some that have to make it to a shirt, window cling, or sticker!:
On my cell as wall paper (sent from photobucket...nice):
Kowboy Approved:
Ok, I'm done!...for now

Kowboy was right, we blew it by not thinking up Coonass Cruisers. Maybe down the road I'll start a trashy spin off from BSLCA and take that title!

I was over at Hampton Toyota picking up parts and stopped by to visit a friend who is the service manager there. He introduced me to Kirk Chesson who has a 72 FJ40. He's a mechanic in the shop and is currently building his engine for the 40. I have invited him to check out the club house here and introduced him to our website. Keep a look out for him should he drop in.

We'll finalize that tomorrow my friend at Mel's for breakfast. Thats where we do our club brainstorming. Then headed to New Iberia to meet up with Johnny to take a look at his 78 FJ40 thats 4-Sale. While there Armond is suppose to come meet up with us and we're going look at two parts trucks that Johnny knows about in the area. Should be a good morning; I just hope the weather holds out for us.

I'll have a spot when the turtle is out the hanger and back on its feet. It'll stay in the garage.

I can't remember the Jewelers name that was trying to put it together but I worked on his light blue 71 FJ40 a couple times. Keep in touch we're a bit slower than I'd like but we're doing this club the right way and its been alot of fun. All of our paper work is complete to make us an official TLCA chapter for LA and should be voted in at the next TLCA meeting. I look forward to talking to you soon.

Yeah, I remember that club...and the blue 40 at the Jewelers....over near Albertson's on Johnston...there was a black FJ40 with parts pieced from all sorts of models...split case xfer, datsun air breather, etc...a super sweet 1980's model green one....anyway, that was long ago...at least 7 to 10yrs I'm sure...

BSLCA event news. Scott and I met and nice gentleman Sunday in New Iberia Johnny Beyts that has a few acres out in St Martinville. Its a beautiful quiet peice out in the country on the bayou. Johnny volunteered to let us hold a BBQ or Crawfish boil event there as long as we don't tear up his place. It was a very nice offer and we'll definitely take him up on that. Please be sure to thank him when you meet him as he will be attending our meetings when he can.
Larry

I know what you mean Jason the weather has been pretty shitty here the last three weeks. We need a week of sun to dry the ground up a little, and so I can enjoy the new rig a couple days. Hope you get some wrenching time in.
