It's not THAT far. I went there a few years ago for a Lonestar Landcruiser Roundup. It truly is a great place. I would love to return there with a crew from BSLCA. If my plans to move toward a more trail friendly rig work out, I will definitely go there again.

Anyone know where I can get a piece of 2" tubing about 18" long with a 90° bend in it, in Lafayette? I need to fix the cage or pull it out and put the stock one back in.

edit: I don't have calipers here, so I don't know the I.D. or thickness yet, but I'll get those if there is a place to get tubing in Lafayette.

I need to fix this....

My BNL has built race cars and stuff, he says to properly fix that, I could get some tubing with an OD that matches the cage ID, then weld in some short sleeves using rosette welds, with the new 90 in between. It sounded legit to me. Time is not on my side, as usual, so I may try to sell the cage and tuffy box and just put the stock rollbar back in.

edit: I can't take credit for this, but I should have talked it over with the guy a little more before the cutting started. The cage was too wide, if you recall, so it could have been easily fixed by cutting an inch or two from the two tubes that cross the front of the 40, sucking the cage together, and making two welds. Hindsight is 20/20

Percy Guidry should have all your metal needs Brian I'm not sure on the bending but they make all kinds of stuff in the shop so they may.

Anyone see the new Mobile One commercials? I am pretty sure it shows a LX-450 getting a little dirty and doing some offroading. I could see the shopping cart protectors like the Anniversary addition/LX450 rubber mid-way up on the doors, it was red. Just wanted to ask so I would have clarification on not hallucinating. I saw it while watching Monday night football, if it helps.

Saw this and thought of the LSU fans here

Free 9"x12" LSU Print $7.95 shipping

I went to my first game last weekend with Lorain & we had a blast. It was a little wet, but worth it

My .2 Jon is wheel it and get a feel for it and see how it does. The most improtant thing is that it runs and the brakes work
You can always change the gears when you get back if you still think it needs it. As for the hubs fix them when they break they're easy to change and the little aisin stock hubs are pretty tough the way they are.

X2 on what Larry said the buggy should be able to have enough of a low gear with two T-Cases.It would be nice if the Dana 44's would accept aisin hubs. On a different note Larry got the E-Locker on the rear fixed?

keep overlooking the D44 part ignore the aisin hub comment Jon I know nothing about a D44 I haven't yet Albert but its on my list for this weekend. I hope to pull it out Friday night or Sat morning to work on it. I'm hoping by taking it out and retiming the spring that'll fix it. I can't seem to do it while on the truck with the tension. There is no info on the FSM on the procedure but there is a few good threads here I'll reference hopefully that'll get it done. I still owe you a phone list sorry. I'll work on that today.
