Bolt kit...
Ok, so the bolt kit is in... it looks a bit "light" However, as I've said w/ a smile to Landry... the guy stated that everything should be in there and to call him if we had a problem.
...It's not supposed to be "every bolt" in stainless... but everything for frame on... from fenders to gauge screws.
...we'll see and I'll save his number. Jerome needs to get checking these!
I hope that all the screws get put to the cruiser and not me

How many pieces total are there? How do you think it compares price and parts wise to the one here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOT...spagenameZWD1V

Yep, check out the LC Hunting thread. It belongs to a lady and it's supposed to get some work done. The lady doesn't want to sell but we've just about all called those guys to ask about it. We're planning to bust her out of prison if she stays much longer.

Thats what I'm about ready to do, tired of seeing it out there. I spoke to Daniel who has a friend that works there. He couldn't get anymore info from Patrick other than they are trying to get OEM parts to rebuild the tranny and Patrick says this guy the owner is a super prick. No kidding. Can't fathem it would take these guys 8 months to find the parts. Maybe we need to go offer them to find the parts to save the rig and the owner the headache.

Or we can just jack it, park it in your garage, paint it, fix the tranny, spruce it up and let her resurface in say, oh, a year or so.

Although, I'm concerned about what I'll end up w/, the guy said it had every fastener/bolt/washer etc.. to do a "frame on" exchange. He said that anything not included when he made the kit was meant to be steel. This is the kit he uses to to restorations (all according to the vendor mind you)
I'll admit it's got some funky rare looking stuff like the "nipple" looking nuts (forgot where they go ..but I'll Find em!). The total number of pieces, including windshield frame, hard top etc, instrument cluster etc.. etc etc.. is 820 pieces all together. I suppose I'll just have to see how it goes. I'm leery but hopeful. Like I said before.. I just hope the last screw doesn't end up in my a$$.
I hope it works out b/c I ordered Jerome one as well at his request!!!!!!!
I have to bring Jerome's to the boil.. I'll show it to ya.

Yes you can store at my house, as for working on it I can help. They are very simple engines and don't require much maintenance which is the good thing. The injection pumps are the heart of the little engines. I'm very familiar with turbo systems as I played with a few the last couple years in the sports cars, they share the same function.

Done a bit of research on the 3L 1KZ-TE engine ... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong if anyone knows... I only "know" what I've dug up:
1. Great "little" engine, but..
2. "Greatly underpowered"
3. "Don't put it in a 40's or 60 series"
4. "Good engine but "serious head problems"
5. "not that good on MPG"
ok...I"m gonna pass!
