"Flir" is the same thermo imaging technology we use on boats. It is pretty cool. At night you can see the heat signature from logs and steel due to the sun beating down on it from the day before. It is a little pricey.
Are those our tax dollars at work? He seems like a huge threat to our society. LOL

Well, it looks like we're on for the BBQ. We have had quite a few folks respond and thanks to you all.
1. BSLCA Family BBQ:
September 21,
10am – 5pm
Armond's camp in New Iberia. Thanks again to Armond and his family.
Bring:
1. Something to sit on
2. Something to drink. We'll have soft drinks, water and juice bags, however.
3. If you'd like to bring somehting, maybe some chips, dip or a desert would be great.
4. Any games you may have (footballs, frisbies, etc...) No lawn darts etc...
2009 W. Admiral Doyle Drive, New Iberia
Directions.
FROM LAFAYETTE:
Take US Hwy 90 east toward New Iberia
In Broussard (at Albertson's) take LA Hwy 182 exit (Cade/St. Martinville)
Turn left onto LA Hwy 182
Stay on LA Hwy 182 for about 9.1 miles
Turn Right onto LA Hwy 674 (look for "Sugarena" Sign)
Travel approximately .3 miles to Traffic Signal
At light, turn left - which keeps you on LA Hwy 674
Travel about 1 mile and the camp is on the RIGHT.
FROM NEW ORLEANS (or East of New Iberia):
Take US Hwy 90 west toward New Iberia
Exit US Hwy 90 at LA Hwy 675 (Jefferson Island Road)
Turn Right onto LA Hwy 675
Stay on LA HWY 675 for approximately 2 miles to first traffic signal
At light, turn left onto LA Hwy 674
Travel approximately 1 mile and the camp is on the left.
2. Southern Cruiser Crawl:
October 17th - 19th
We'd still like to seal the deal on the 18 wheeler so please visit the link and consider coming. An 18 wheeler will haul all of our rigs there for early Friday and bring em home on Sunday. Can't beat the price or conveincene. We have one spot left although if we have more folks we can make some room for you. Bring your stock rig, Grey Rock has somehting for everyone.
3. Monthly Club Meeting / Trash Pickup:
- BSLCA Meetings/Calendar - Our meetings are always at our usual Buffalo Wild Wings at 1pm on Sundays. Please try to come out. Even if you've never been before and are unsure of how many you can make. No worries, come when you can...even if just to drop by. Come out and BS w/ us.
Next meeting will be September 28th at 1pm - 3pm.
We will be picking up trash (bring your boots!) prior to the meeting. Please try come out to our member voted Adopt a Road project. We'll meet at 10 am at Piggly Wiggly on the corner of Pinhook and Highway 89.
We appreciate the help.

I'm feeling pretty normal now, but still trying to get the Coumadin (blood thinner) levels in my blood to where they need to be. Until then I have been injecting myself with another blood thinner. I hate needles and I have a newfound respect for all diabetics that have to do this. I have to say an Our Father every time before I stick the needle in, or else I want to skip it haha.

Damn Brother! My Dad just went through the same thing. I guess I know 2 "lucky" people now. Hope you feel better. Drink more beer. I use that to thin my blood.

Thats the owner's John Nugent he's a member. I've spoken to him numerous times over the year last year while he was working on it. He joined the club this year but I've still yet to meet him but I do get emails on his emails on cigar specials and usally forward them to Mr Harold.

I haven't heard of anything but I don't see us fitting anything in before Nov but remember if there are a few that wants to go you don't need a group event just call Dennis and let him know your coming. There is the Club Challenge the first weekend in Nov and we'll schedule one last weekend out there before Thanksgiving which will mark the end of the Club's year for activities. We'll have charity work (Toyota's For Tots) going on Thanksgiving to Christmas and its passing by very quickly.

Is this too much lift?
I'm thinking the off camber position for this 80 may be an issue here.

It is a 450. Could you imagine pulling up to a 450 soccer mom. You would give her a heart attack.
At least it has a wheely bar...wait.... or an anchor?

Ok, Sean.
I saw your rig tonight on my way home from work today...
You've got a winch, all those tow points and a jerry can...(and the light "protector" thingy) you gotta put that thing on the rig to Alabama...
Come on now...

So I know Mike Theriot (Tabascoloco) has had to realign some priorities and doesn't hang out here as much as we'd like, but he was one of the founding members of the club and helped out a great deal. I just wanted everyone to know that his dad had surgery this am ... we all wish him the best

Scott,
I am seriously thinking about going. Not sure if I will
take my rig. I don’t feel I have had enough bonding time yet, not
sure how and/or if everything works (story for Sunday). Would like
some assistance looking over things, just to make sure all is solid before taking it offroad.
Sean
