Kinda makes me want a Scion
The body atleast.
My body has some pretty good cancer going on in diferant spots that I am cureing with diferant degrees of sucess.
And while I am in no way prepaired to shell out what one of these bodies would probably cost, I thought yall might get a kick out of seeing this freak truck... It is sitting on a wranglers frame BTW.

You're a brave man parking that Cruiser right smack on Main St. I was down there today on a field trip and spotted her. Great looking rig - real hard to miss!

I went get some estimates for the body work on my 4runner, it is dieing of skin cancer at the moment, doesnt look horible but when I drive it in the rain I get wet.
4 grand in body work... that does not include paint and he said it was a conservative estimate. So I thinks about it and I see this on marlin crawler's board http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=31330.0 and thinks to my self that the 4runner frames my year where basicaly a shortbox standard cab frame. I would have to build body mounts but that is about it by my figuring.
I found a 92 ex-cab pickup with a blown motor for a grand and am thinking even if I have to fight it some i should still come out 2500 dollars ahead, mabey even more because suposedly the paint is still glossy on the 92.
I knwo most of yall have been messing with toyotas longer than I have, does what i say make since? or should I just live with a few leaks in my 4runner body?

Sorry I could catch up with you both. I was on the tractor when you called Mike can't hear anything when on that thing. I agree on the rig at the tanny shop we have to do something about that. 8 months to do the tranny work is big BS, we could pick up a tranny on MUD for the lady and have it back on the road in a day. I'll touch base with the friend of mine to see what he found out. He has a friend that works there that he was going to get him to do some snooping on it for us. From noon to about 4 tomorrow I'm good to wrench for a bit and head to Sam's. Let me know what your schedules are looking like.

Glad you got to see it, laughing to myself leaving that movie I had ideas of cross country ride in the cruisers to Moab, or the Rubithon. It would be an adventure to see if we could make it there. Maybe if we had our own personal gas tanker following us.

We'd all have to pull trailers with parts and repair equipment but I'm ready! Well, almost. ONce my rig is out and running, I'll be ready.
Speaking of a good day for a ride, I spotted Thad's rig out at Ground Pat'i by school. I thought his rig was down and out. What's he up to?

X2 was a great day to be out, just got in a bit chilly tonight. Dad took the ride home with me. He had the jacket on and looked a little more comfortable. He just came in the shop and said I need that, and that, and that he was swinging his finger like a loaded weapon.

Looks like someone's photoshop ride. It don't look a real truck to me wheel base body placement don't add up. It is a hiliraous looking little creation. Please don't consider doing this to your 4-Runner. We can find you a a truck or 4-Runner body to swap out. If you really want to get creative put a 40 tub on there. I think I sent you the link to the guy doing that build. Very nice job.
