Haney Tools Body Parts
Just so you guys don't think I have sold my FJ40 and started driving a J**P I wanted to relate my latest purchase.
I received my FJ40 wheel well tops from Haney Tools a couple of weeks ago. (They are a vendor on E-Bay selling FJ40 body panels. Supposed to be guys that worked for CCOT.) I was expecting nice one piece stamped pieces like the original but what I got was a flat stamped piece of metal with the curved part cut out and with a 3/4" wide strip tack welded around the edge. Ugly welds too. Another thing, there are NO holes of anykind drilled for wires and such, nor are there welded nuts for things like the soft top. Worse yet the part is not pre-bent at the front. I can drill holes and weld on nuts but for the price I should not have to bend my own metal! So I paid for something I could have built myself... Course they do have the raised ribs which I could not have easily duplicated. Over all I am not impressed. When I get a chance I'll shoot some pics of them. __________________ !Oy my 1971 FJ40 Not Road Legal http://tinyurl.com/47zpb (My Web Site) http://tinyurl.com/2h6hc7 (Nut and Bolt Spreadsheet) |

Actually this is the Heritage stuff. Haney tools is just the E-Bay store. Their wheel well tops are not original at all...
