Thank you! Yeah - that was a long weekend, and long couple of weeks after as well. I too am waiting on parts - need to do my knuckles and a wide variety of seals and gaskets! A Wichita get together sounds good to me - I am always up for wrenching.

My name's Carl, I live in Leawood,Kansas, right next to the Missouri/Kansas boarder, I drive a white fj62 called Tojo, its my first car and I love it and am already addicted to LandCruisers. It needs a fare amount of work done to just about everything. All I have on it now are 31 BFG's, going to do some engine work first, then plan on getting an ARB bullbar.

Email me any suggestions you guys have for what I should do to it at: carlcruiser@gmail.com

-Carl

Well I figured i post in here. My name is Matt and I am from virginia but out here for work. I am living right off barry road north of zona rosa. I work for the army and i am on travel 365 a year. I havn't been on the boards much because i never have a land cruiser with me because its just too hard to travel with one. so the 40 has been in storage for the last 4 years. I have been out here since last of april first of may. My fiance is out here with me and she was wanting something to drive around town since her suv isn't out here and i am always in the f250 and the silverado ss is a show/race truck and its hardly leaves the garage. So we found the 60 and she wanted it so we bought it and i get to drive it and fix it up and spend money on it. so i have been back on the boards and getting back into the cruiser world.

Welcome Matt. You have myself and Britklr that lives right around this area. He is just off Barry road a tad east of you, and I am just a little south, closer to 64th Street.

Maybe we can get together sometime. I'm forever working on one of my rigs.

I'm assuming Ex, you are in Clay County? If so I'm about 25 miles or so from there.

Good to know Scott. Kind of an odd question, but have you seen a blue FJ60 around? I have seen it on three different occasions, one time coming off of Lee onto 103rd....

Well I geuss I will say Hello,

My name is TJ and I just bought a 68 FJ40 off Mud. I will be asking lots of Questions, The 40 has chevy V8 of some kind, does not really matter beacuse of the hole's in the oil pan where 2 of the rods tried to escape would have been nice for the guy selling it to mention that! It has all the typical rust but its not real bad.

Hello! I'm a native of KS and looks like I will once again be back after 7 years. Job has offered me a position back home after moving my family to Wisconsin some time back. I never thought I would be back knowing the limited positions in the area, but one came up and I can't say no. Looks like I won't be there until October, but wife and kids are moving to get school going.

I'm a District Manager with my company and I will base out of Wichita, but we most likely will live in Marion, KS to be next to family. I'm a relatively new Cruiserhead, but already a die hard. I have a great interest in expedition trips, but love running obstacles locally as well. I spend about at least a week a year in CO off-road even with living in WI.

I have owned a 2nd gen 4-Runner, but sold a few years back. I bought my FJ Cruiser two years ago and my 80 a few months ago. I grew up off-road with my 77 Bronco and have found a new passion in tinkering with my Toys. I look forward to my move back home and am looking to get involved in the local TLCA chapter and have some fun.

Welcome. Keep an eye here for the latest and greatest. Things are pretty quiet now but will be picking up next month. The next club event is GATOR in southern MO. Either of the FJ or the 80 will do fine there if you can swing the trip while in the midst of moving.

Chris

Welcome back Creachr. I'm sure you're plenty familiar with the area, but don't rule out Newton which would put you in the middle of family & wichita, and has great schools. A lot of great cruiser-heads in the Wichita area. Hope you have a smooth move.

Thanks for the welcome!

We thought about Newton immediately as a good central location. I guess my wife said it the best... NO WAY WE CAN LET OUR BOYS BE RAILROADERS. We both grew up in Ark City and I was a bit of a jock. Seems like she can't forget those games/matches/fans from back in the day. My in-laws now live in Marion (their hometown) and we really like the town. I don't mind driving and my in-laws are great.

Moving stinks, but moving back home is exciting!

Welcome Cody - you've come to the right place. First off I'd suggest a membership in Tornado Alley Cruisers as one of the best benefits of being a member is a discount on parts at Molle Toyota. There is a ton of wealth on this website so start your searching as I'm sure your questions have been answered before.

We are working to schedule a wrenching weekend within the next couple of months (hopefully). These are a great opportunity to meet the guys, turn some wrenches, and be able to compare your vehicle to others as you work on it.
