A celebration of his life will be held this Sat. the 31st at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W Foxwood Dr. (58 Hiway). Visitation will be at 1:00 and the celebration at 2:00. Would there possibly be someone who would be willing to share some good stories about Mike and wheeling at this celebration? Just let me know if so.
Jason I don't need a well versed speaker, just someone who can share happy and/or funny memories from our wheeling days. I will put you on the program and thank you so very much. There are some memories on the forum under the 2 other threads if you want to use them. Peggy
I had a laugh at the GATOR event during the "quickest up the trail contest." Mike ran it before Rob. When I showed up Mike was patiently waiting at the top of the trail to see how his time compared. Rob then came screaming up the trail, bouncing off the rocks with smoke billowing from under his 40 and sweat on his face. It was a hell of an effort. Then the time keep announced the results. Rob's was 1:45. He then asked Mike how he did. Mike showed a slight smile and replied, "1:37."
The service was very nice yesterday. We really enjoyed hearing the stories about Mike - aspects of his life that we weren't aware of. Jason - thanks for telling Mike's wheeling stories.
