Mike & Peggy Need our Toughts and Prayers
Peggy Sears sent me a note this morning letting us know that Mike is in the hospital. See below. I've blanked out her phone number - if you would like to call her e-mail me at rech.christopher at gmail dot com and I'll give it to you.
Mike is currently in the ICU in rochester,MN at the Mayo complex. He was in Rochester delivering to Toys when he became ill and was sent in by ambulance. He had a blood clot in his lungs and was sent to ICU. Tues. evening another clot entered his lungs and he went into cardiac arrest. Yesterday a third one entered, but didn't cause an arrest this time. He is breathing on his own and his heart is functioning on it's own, although he is on a lot of medication and on a ventilator. He is heavily sedated and resting comfortably. You can reach me on my cell phone at ____________. He will be in ICU for another 2 weeks probably. Will try to keep you updated if anything changes.
And I can't proof read.

Mike is breathing on his own, as of this morning and closed his eyelid on his own when they checked his pupil reaction. On Mon. they are going to do a MRI and a sensory test. We will know more about his chances for recovery after them. They are going to start pulling some of the excess fluid off of him today, probably about 20 lbs extra. Will keep you guys updated. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. It means alot.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. If you need anything, my parents live in Byron (8 Miles west of Rochester). Heck they may even be able to put you up.
Take care!

The Butlers are and will be praying for you both. Mike is a lucky guy to have a great gal like Peggy by his side. Could you post or pm an address? I'm sure the girls would like to color a "get well" card for Mike.
God Bless. Eric, Jen, Lilly, & Brooke.

My mom talked to Peggy today. There is a good deal of family that has come up to be by Peggy and Mike's side. As to Mike's state, I don't want to post up any incorrect information. I figure Rob will swing by here at some point and give us a status update. From what my mom said, Peggy was a bit surprised to hear how quickly the news has travelled and said thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Okay, the latest. We just got the report on the sensory test and his brain reacted NORMALLY!!!!!!!!!!! Now he hasn't woken up yet, and he isn't out of the woods by any means, but this was a good report. It is still a waitng game, but there is a little light showing at the end of the tunnel. He still has a fever, but it does respond to Tylenol and he is on a cooling blanket. Soooo, I feel better than I did this morning. Will post again tomorrow.

Peggy & Rob, after receiving Rob's call tonight, I tried to explain to the girls what was happening to Mike. Tonight after I finished reading a bedtime story to Lilly & Brooke, Lilly said "Daddy, lets say a special prayer for Peggy & Mike"....and we did. You have been and will continue to be in our prayers. Eric
