| I am a heep hater. CJs suckl. Willys suck (why get a willys when I can have a Samurai? Same size, ground clearence, HP, gearing and better built). Danglers suck. They all suck. ZJ sucks.
The only cool heeps are the fullsize older ones. Like the Cherokee and J-series pickups, and the old Waggoneers. They were the only well built things heep ever did.

Its hard to detect...
Mine started leaking and the gas mileage went to hell, but I found it before going up in flames.
They did improve the design with no recall notice.
One of many unknown, undetected and unreported major defects on a Jeep Cherokee.

| Buddy has a CJ7 that I like,
Originally it kind of sucked, but he built a new frame from scratch, put a fiberglass body on it, (tub, hood, fenders) rebuilt the engine Trans and T-case, Carter carburetor, Chevy HEI distributor. put a ford 9” in the rear and a Dana 44 up front, lockers, lift, wheels, tires, drive shafts, complete new electrical system, paint, bed lined the tub, new top, dash, gauges, stereo, windshield, bumpers, console etc etc
And now it is pretty cool,
I think the grille is still original.

I'm not sorry I still don't care for Heeps. Dude you know w a y to much about Jeeps. Of course if your an entrepreneur and a mechanic opening a Jeep repair shop wouldn't be a bad investment.

| "I'll be there this summer for two weeks."
With that attitude you'll never make it back.
either that or your jeep will break down on you.......
In any case, you have just (unsuccessfully) tried to insult Nuclearlemon.
Bad Move...
I wish i could say that it has been nice knowing you, but you don't listen, you don't learn, and yer a communist, scum sucking, twinkle toed clown.
Please go away,
thanks,
Dan

| I was going to post a funny pic of a broken jeep but decided to post my search results instead. Google Image "broken + fj40" and you get 8 results (only 5 area actually fj40's: 1 cracked x-case and 4 broken shock mounts). Google Image "broken + land cruiser and you get 34 results. Google Image "broken + jeep" and you get 642 images, mostly snapped axles. http://www.googlefight.com/index.php...n+land+cruiser

WTF? Thats what everyone has been wondering since you started posting here.
Not driving the Jeep. Excellent choice. Your wife apparently has more sense than you.
No I don't know you, nor do I want to know you. If you had taken the time to get to know people before starting crap, then maybe not so many people would dislike you. What I want is for you to go away.
Thanks,
Dan

| you all know my favorite Jeep but then you don't agree it is one...
i guess in a way i should be thankful...
i loved the willlies but was turned off by the 2 piece rear axle...
these have a D44 out back, D30 up front and D18 gear to gear t/case and best of all the 2.7 diesel under the hood (turbo and intercooled also available from the factory)
typical Japanese fashion, take a cool rig and make it better... |

| I recall looking at an old jeep at a dealership one day up on Kingsway in Burnaby. This was before I even knew what a Landcruiser was, so forgive me.
But, this jeep had a machine gun mounted in the back (the barrel was filled), and the huge radio in the back supposedly worked. Even if I had not been 16 years old at the time, I'd still think it was pretty nifty.
Memories fading, but I think it was late 50's/early 60's vintage MASH kinda thing. |

| My 51 Willys I had in high school to bad jeep pepole think this is what the have now. A willys is so far from a jeep you can put gas in the willys and go anywhere ,I cant say so much for a new wrangler. My bro has it now and it will do what is made to do 55 years later.
