The rain begins when we stopped at the mine. The metal work at the mine site is first class. Getting the metal and tools to build the mine at the location is unbelievable. How did they do that?

starting off cloudy - First time for all of us so we took turns leading with Funner taking the first half

When we started the Rug Road someone said "looks like rain - hope it comes down during the run and clears up in time for camp tonight". Someone was listening because thats what happened! Phil having a great time, more impressive metalwork at the mine.

As we headed down to Turkey Creek to meet Wilma83 and Greg (they found the choice camp spot / large enough for the entire group). Her 1983 60 "wilma" is truly one of the nicest 60's Ive seen. She is a true Cruiser head and has done extensive upgrades down to the smallest details - a nice LC indeed - Her new-ish RTT was very cool!
On the way out the next morning, we stopped at Turkey Creek ruins where we checked out the very well preserved one room house which was used like a "hunting cabin" for forays for food away from the permanent camps of the resident indian population who permanently lived over in Aravipa.

It was hard for us (Wilma83 and Greg, MTKreitz and Kathy, LandCruiserPhil, Rudster, Funner, and myself) to leave such a beautiful area and found ourselves lingering as much as possible before having to head back to civilization. (A great group and one of the best runs in a long time!)
