Good vendor for tubing?

Hi, I'm looking for a good supplier for some tubing. Anyone know of any in the Chicagoland area, more specifically Joliet, if possible? I know there are a lot of industrial areas around here but nobody wants to sell to the public. I tried metalsupermaket but they want about $5.77 / foot for 1-5/8 .120 DOM.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I've used Metal Supermarket in the past and never had an issue with them. Realize though metal prices are still up and aren't expected to drop anytime soon.

Maybe the Green One can offer some insight.

edit: I just played on the Metal Supermarke site. It quoted me $35.34 for 1.75"x.120" x 10' tube. It helps if you order in 10 ft increments

I agree, metal prices are up but $5.77/foot seems high. Granted, I'm only looking for 40-80 feet.

I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Sorry for the long delay, gotta start signing on here more often. I use Atlas Supply in Joliet. They are right where Rt 52 T's into Rt 53, just south of I-80.
