Looking for stock rims...

Hey guys. I don't especially like the chrome rims that are on my '66 FJ40, so I've been watching for a used [read: CHEAP] alternative. Not coming up with many options between eBay, Craigslist, Google, etc. so I'm close to ordering some steel white wagon wheels [flame away] from Summit. They have the width and BS I need for only $29 each, which is tuff to beat for new rims! The stock steelies I've seen on eBay are a few hundred bucks, and I'm not looking to drop that much $$ on them right now.

Anyway, I figured I might as well see if anyone here has any used stock steel rims (with or without hubcaps) they want to sell. If ya got 'em, please PM me. Or wagon wheels also, for that matter. But I really don't want to use spacers, so they have to be 3.75 max BS.

Thanks!

I think I might have a whole second set, but I know I only have one set of hub caps. the extra ones I have are also very poor shape. You're welcome to use my sandblaster and powder coater to make them nice again.

They also have the right price.

You're the MAN, Gumby, I'll PM you.

Hey Gumby, any luck with those rims?

Or anyone else looking to sell a set?

Went out by Gumby's "office" today, and got to check out his rides. Pretty impressive 55, he does some nice work! And I definitely dig the 45.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks again, Todd, for the "super-deal" on the rims. It was great meeting you in person!

Figured I'd throw up a picture of the 40 with stock steelies back on.

Rims from Gumby + Powdercoat from Advanced Enameling + Hubcaps from eBay = Much better looking rig, in my opinion!

Unfortunately, the 40 and my Buick are probably going up for sale soon, as I need cash for another project that I've been messing around with for a few years - things are starting to happen, and money will be required. But if the Buick sells first I think I could get by without selling my truck, so we'll see...

Hey slacker, better get my bib done before you do anything else you cruiser head wanna be!

Gimme a yell Bill. Who knows, your 40 may just stay on the northside as a daily driver.
