| It'll run. It was a runner before it was parked, it'll run before next weekend.
The pig is making it's final run in it's current form at TFT. After that it's getting a body transplant since I no longer need a 73 body to build into a DD. The 45 will be getting powertrain and comfort upgrades and become my driver when the Tundra lease runs out.
Wheeling sucks. I'm building big show trucks now. Never can have too much chrome or too many shocks. |

| The mostly rust free 73 body that I bought from CO. It's on the rotisserie at the shop. |

On second thought that is all the time. Im supprised the 40 didnt come with a domestic logo by looking at how high it is. Next think you know is phill is going around saying EXTREME to everything and listening to the EXTREME hits sound track from Harold and Kumar go to white castle. | It rocks to the Extreme up here you jealous biotches! The air is cleaner up here and really helps you focus!
Gotta run! O'Hare called. They want me to add lights to the top of the 40 for aircraft avoidance!

| I just got in an hour ago. I wound up flat towing it since it already had the tow bar attached to the front bumper. Round trip was under 450 miles. No issues at all and did 60 most of the ride back. The FJC handled it well. It just looked awfully g-dam silly towing the Hancock back to Chicago.
I happier than a pig in shart! I'll give details and a couple of pics later.

| I don't think so. Maybe on some stock rig runs.
SOA, shackle reversal, p/s, disc brakes all done already. TH400 going in soon. single transfer case this time. 327 to be replaced by a 5.3L Vortec, but no hurry as the 327 purrs. dynamat, good carpet, comfy seats, nice tunes, A/C from the pig (doesn't even have provisions for a heater yet) All the creature comforts with lots of attention to no rattles and bangs. Probably Wrangler ATS in a 35.
I'm leaning toward Tundra Slate Gray with a white roof a bit more than a dark green roof and bottom with the correct white upper half, but that's a ways off.
The pig project is changing. The 73 on the rotisserie is going on the War Pig chassis. That'll get done first to make room.
Anybody need a mashed and mangled pig body? |

In keeping with the EXTREME theme going on with my 40, here's a pic of the rear setup.

| The only pic I have of the front
The springs are Rauncho lift springs of unknown vintage with longer shackles. When I asked the PO if he did a C&T on the axle, he asked "what's a cut and turn?"
I'm going to do TFT to the EXTREME! I'M gonna wheel both at the same time!
Oh and sorry about hi-jacking your thread Todd.

| After some searching and phone calls, I've figured out my suspension. I would greatly appreciate some input from you folks. Remember this SOA thing is new to me and I don't want to foul this up. Here's what I would like to do.
Front axle from an FJ60 cut and turned for a spring over. Then use a rear axle from the same FJ60 for the rear. I'm looking at Proffits spring outboard kit to avoid putting the spring perches too close to the diff. The only issue I'm having is deciding what spring to run. Stock 40's or stock 60's?
I also have the Saginaw conversion and will be going with the 4x4Labs Cross over kit.
Is this a legit set up?
