OK, here goes...trying to create a thread AND post a couple of photos. Pretty bold, I know!

Well.. the 2nd 77kb photo attachement was refused as "exceeding file size limit" by 686 bytes. So, does that mean the posting limit for newbys is about 150kb?

BTW, I started with about 200kb JPEG photos and used IrfanView to reduce the image size to 640x480 and got a file size of 77kb no matter what options and quality level I chose. Nothing made any difference. Am I missing something to get more compression from JPEG using IrfanView?

correct....150k for noobies is the limit.

there should be options within irfanview to compress more....believe I covered that in my instructions....
