for those using win XP there also is a power toy add-on which adds a right click option to the photo to resize it very easy . just highlight the pic you want ,right click it and hit resize (like in pic i posted ) then a menu pops up asking you what size . simple and quick  link to download below also posted a pic of download (where to look on the page)

Check Your Camera
I just found out (pull out the owners manual) that I can set my camera to shoot pics in 640 x 480 size. No more resizing. I'm betting all digital cameras have this option. Check your
camera

That looks like it works. I have Windows XP and an app called Microsoft Picture It! 10 which I find real easy to use for resizing pictures.
