Can't access from my new computer???
I got a new computer, with XP. I've got IE, Firefox and Google Chrome. In all cases, I can get to forums.ih8mud.com, but most any click from there results in a timeout. WTF?
I haven't had much time for surfing since I got my new job, but I'm totally missing my mud.
This is our old computer, also XP/Firefox on the same connection.

Are you running any security software?
Try this:
open a command prompt (Start->Run.) Type "cmd" without the "s and hit ok. In the prompt type "tracert forum.ih8mud.com" without the "s. Hit enter... see what it says.

Seems like it would fail all the time, but it works for a page or three, then fails. I'll check out traceroute overr on that computer. It works from this one, if a bit slow.

it almost HAS to be a setting in the new computer....virus, firewall, etc....something is blocking....

I had a PM stuck in there for a while. Maybe whatever runs first that redirects you to your unread PMs doesn't agree with the new box?
