Endless Loading Of Pages

What is would cause the "endless loading" phenomenon?

I am on a Mac using Firefox 2.0.0.14. Motorola cable modem, airport extreme wireless and over 1Mbs downloads via SpeedTest.

I am also running AdBlocker in an attempt to speed up Mud page loading. Sadly it is still pretty slow.

Run NoScript too. I have been running into the same problems. NoScript helps.

pages have been loading near-instantaneous for me, even on a broadband card....

No Joke.

It seems that most/all the page is loaded, but the status bar at the bottom shows "Read forum.ih8mud.com".

I check it out on Safari last night and it didn't do this so it appears to be Firefox specific.

Most of my pages load slowly but "done with errors" appears at the bottom.

Clearing the cache has seemed to worked.

I visit 4-5 forums regularly and MUD is the only one that gets jacked up. Pages won't load or come up as all code or 1/2 code 1/2 loaded. I always have to refresh at least once, sometimes 2x. I've been locked out on a few occasions as well. For some reason it decides to not recognize my login from time to time.
Pretty much running the same stuff as Ross. Never have trouble on other forums.

Nope, Motorola cable modem hooked up to an Apple wireless. Mud is slow at home no matter if I hard wired via ethernet or use the wireless.

Mud is also slow at work at the university.

I will say, clearing the cache on Firefox has helped alot. The endless loading has stopped and it seems to have more pep.

I seem to have problems off and on. I am 'working' from home right now and it seems quite speedy.

I'm just glad I got that endless loading thing dealt with.

made a 'small' adjustment this morning....old script I forgot to remove....may have fixed it...

FWIW, I've been getting similar issues, comes and goes. Mac OS 10.4.11, Safari, Motorola cable modem at home (hardline in), airport at the university. Usually doesn't stick around for more the 5 or 10 minutes, not overly bothersome. Maybe it's a geologist thing.

DID discover today that our hosting company has been having bandwidth issues, to be cured later this week...that explains a few things as well....

Seems to be working much better now that I have my own internet. I'm not mooching off my neighbor(with his permission) any more as of yesterday
