In Iowa, F'n HOT= anything over 85 degrees. It's not the heat that kills you- it's our humidity.

We are trying to get a local grocery place to 'sponsor' a dinner one night- we have yet to hammer out all the details. Closest 'town' is Lovilla- 5 minutes south (pretty much just a gas station convenience store). Closest town with an actual grocery store will be Knoxville- about 10 miles?

No charge for showers on site.

I'm actually considering trying to get a hotel close by this time for the heat/ humidity reasons. I was not raised in this weather and anything over 80 just gets really uncomfortable really fast. Plus, I'll be bringing the co-pilot again this year and he doesn't handle the heat very well either.

Clarification:
Only Tall Corn Cruiser members (prior to Memorial Day 08) are allowed to invite one non-Toyota vehicle/guest to the event.

No FJC trail team this year. Woody will be there, however.

I've probably asked this before, but can a stock, no armor, and no mud terrain, or off-road tires, FJC do the TCC? What do you guys think?

HA! Thanks guys...

I'm still trying to iron out the details, and w/ Ouray less than a week away, my mind is understandably in other places.

If you find yourself faced with 3 muddy lanes, go to the left lane...the middle one is a bit deep.

This is pretty obvious, (but worth stating anyway) but no 'brews' will be allowed on the trail. Even though it's privately owned we still abide by all TLCA rules during the event.

Bugs.... By far the most annoying are the mosquito's and a few biting flies. Everything else is pretty standard. I don't think this year is a Cicada (sp?) year- so don't worry about the red eyed terror....

Sweat Bee's

There is really nothing to get rid of them, You'll just get used to them.

Bud Light is what I will bring, with a gangsta coming from Cali I might bring some Dos Equis and lime. My Favorite

What is your flavor Rob?

Can't wait

Ok, i know im new at this but i have a question. Do you have to pay the MIOBI membership plus the TCCC registration fee to participate? How many kids will be coming. I would like to bring my 11yr old son but want to make sure he will have other children to associate with. thanks

There was only one child there last year and he got his picture in Toyota Trails...

I know I am not bringing my kids for the simple reason that the people you meet at these events you can never talk to them enough.

My kids are still young enough that you would have to keep a close eye, that doesn't happen when I am talking Cruisers.

I have a friend that is talking about going, I will have him post if he brings his 11 year old boy.

No MIOBI membership needed for this event. It is all cover in the Event fees.

See ya there,
