Summer Equinox

I caught this one in a little pond on the edge of a rice field in Crowley, LA. In that little pond were some of the most aggressive bass and bream that I've ever seen.

will crocs take your fish or lure? I've had seals do that when in a rowboat which is annoying but a croc would be more so

That's an alligator and yes, sometimes they will. That big dude there just laid there until I set the hook on a bass, broke my seat and almost fell out the boat. I was half hanging out the boat hoping my camera wouldn't get wet and never noticed that he took a dip and started swimming towards me.

d'oh, croc/alligator oops. that would be interesting. I like to salt water fish in a 9 foot rowboat and have had seals come right up to the boat to check me out which is unnerving but not legitimately scary. I have a friend who had a school of killer whales come right around his kayak and nudge at him who said it was the closest thing to a true bowel loosener he'd ever experienced.

That would have done it for me. Especially in a kayak.
