Looks like you knocked em' dead.

It was pretty slow when we went. Mostly silvers snappin'. $839 fine, you know the deal. They would rather have you throw them back for the sea lions.

We were down about 150' with riggers, two poles, one with fresh chovie and flasher and one with rubber squidly.

We tried for some flatfish off of Sand City shore to no avail.

Looks like Santa Cruz harbor behind the boat there.

Were you at Twin Lakes for the firework fight on the 4th?

spent an afternoon trying to catch this little fellow... but it was a gorgeous day and a beautiful hatch, high in the mountains.

different kind of fishing for a florida saltwater guy. not my biggest trout but the nicest one of that day out in the old cruiser in the national forest.

Fish proved difficult. My mask was fogging up on me (new mask) and I really haven't learned to use the camera properly yet in this setting. I couldn't see the display well enough, so I was just pointing the camera. A school of bass approached me and I was able to get this one - probably 8-10" smallmouth:

And of course this one, on the fish crib I built in the winter on the ice, which I caught later in the day and released. He went right back to the crib and I saw him swimming there about 30 minutes after release. Measured 19.5"
