Just to chime in, went fishing on a small river near the house, caught about 30 small 'pumpkin seeds" and 8 smallies. Threw them all back to get bigger. Sorry no pics. It was a fun, pre-work adventure. I pulled an 18" brown trout out of the same spot last year.

No pics sorry, went commerical fishing couple years ago with a long time friend, he is a diver.
They run around on the ocean floor picking Geoi Ducks(Spelling?), big ugly clam that is in the sand up to three feet deep. They run around with a bag on thier side and a high pressure water hose that they spray around th e duck and and pull. Otherwise they would rip the tentacle off the duck and leave the clam barried, worthless. Kind of a neat expierence on the west coast of Vancouver Island, never seen anything more beautiful in my life. They also fish in the Charlotes for Sea Urchants, spiny little buggers. Also fished locally steele head, we also do a bit of prawnsing and crabbing, both very very tasty. Some one has to post up a Small Mouth Bass. Even though its "Small".
Cought at the base of Willamette Falls on the west side next to the wall. It is about 2' deep and will destroy your prop if your not carefull, but it is real rocky and produces fish quickly. __________________ eBay Store is OPEN![]() ---> Heater restoration kits 1967-74 40 series ---> Replacement leather for 60 series ---> eBay Store - Decals, Heater kits and bits |

Nice catch man.. Thats a leggy bear, we see short and fat ones here... There seems to be two types of build for bears, leggy ones and fat ones... I saw a fat one last night, must of had 3-4''s of fur thickness on it... AWESOME

Didn't fish a lot this weekend. Instead I gardened and did camp work. Planted potatoes and peas today. Planted about 60 trees over the course of the weekend, some a foot tall and some 6 feet tall. Pretty sore from digging holes!
I did catch a 17" walleye and a 24" northern pike. No fish pics, but I snapped this quick pic of the wife sitting on the dock when she got back from a morning run. It was about 50° F - I think this was about 9:00 am. The dog is hunting minnows - hasn't caught one yet but she never gives up. This is my primary fishing boat, a Lund WC-14. __________________ If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate. '99 UZJ100 "The Iron Hippo" / '82 FJ40 "Mustard" / '73 FJ40 |

) but real bruisers of fish known as Coral Trout. IMHO, THE best tasting fish in the ocean.Cooking him up for dinner at the moment. Yum. Caught a heap more species as well but this was my favourite at 70cm long. __________________ 90 HZJ80 GXL, DTS turbo, 285/75R16 MTR's, 4" OME, Safari snorkel, ARB airlocker, ARB bullbar, 9500lb winch, ARB dual pivot rear bar, 39L Engel, water tank, dual batts, sliding drawers, cargo barrier, underbonnet shower, laptop, GPS, oziexplorer, etc.... 99 HZJ105R GXL, alloy bullbar, Safari snorkel, more to come.....watch this space.......... |
