I didn't know you had largemouth like that in BC! And salmonids too! Sweet!

Wow that last one is really a hawg!

EDIT: D'OH just noticed that's CO. Makes more sense. Are there bass like that in BC?

Well worth the money. Just get one that has a BIG opening for cleaning.

Cool so you don't have to waste time going back to the to river bank for a drink - more time fishin, now that’s smart.

Camelbacks rock!

I have two, one with a integrated backpack and one without. The one without is a leftover from my trailriding days, back when Camelbacks first came out. The fact that they are right there and easily accessable means that dehydration is a thing of the past. I used to go trailriding without a Camelback and I would come home with a headache every time. Now I can spend a day in the outdoors without getting a headache.

I use them all the time. The one with the backpack I use to carry a small tackle box and leatherman when exploring a backcountry stream or wading the flats. I sometimes sling the camelback over the back of my seat so I can drink on long drives. Once when recovering in hospital after a bike accident (the reason I don't ride much anymore) I couldn't use my hands so the bite valve on the camelback allowed me to drink without the need for the nurse.

BTW, who ties their own flies? Anybody got some tying recipes to share? I'll try to organise some pics of the ones I tie so that if you guys ever come and visit OZ you will know what works over here.

Oh yeah, I use a CamelBak too. Skiing, fishing, hunting, running, biking, whenever. Only way to go.

Have only tied a few really easy flies, like San Juan worms. I'd like to start, but it's one of those dozen or so hobbies that are on the back burner for me. Not enough hours in the day...

Oh man, there is nothing like the large mouth bass pre-spawn feeding frenzy. My parents live on a 10 acre pond that is full of large mouth. One day a couple years ago during the pre-spawn frenzy my dad and I lost count after about 75 bass, all over 3 pounds. We were catching them on every cast, so I got out my fly rod and started catching them on dry flies. Very fun.

Good old Zebco's. Can't go wrong with those babies. I think I've got one from the 80's with the original line...

LOL

Really it was the name off the house I lived at in college. But it's fitting for a lot of things I do.
