I didn't know you had largemouth like that in BC! And salmonids too! Sweet!
Wow that last one is really a hawg! EDIT: D'OH just noticed that's CO. Makes more sense. Are there bass like that in BC? __________________ If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate. What's that green thing over the left shoulder? Net? It looks like the bass has a halo!

Camelbacks rock!
I have two, one with a integrated backpack and one without. The one without is a leftover from my trailriding days, back when Camelbacks first came out. The fact that they are right there and easily accessable means that dehydration is a thing of the past. I used to go trailriding without a Camelback and I would come home with a headache every time. Now I can spend a day in the outdoors without getting a headache. I use them all the time. The one with the backpack I use to carry a small tackle box and leatherman when exploring a backcountry stream or wading the flats. I sometimes sling the camelback over the back of my seat so I can drink on long drives. Once when recovering in hospital after a bike accident (the reason I don't ride much anymore) I couldn't use my hands so the bite valve on the camelback allowed me to drink without the need for the nurse. BTW, who ties their own flies? Anybody got some tying recipes to share? I'll try to organise some pics of the ones I tie so that if you guys ever come and visit OZ you will know what works over here. __________________ 90 HZJ80 GXL, DTS turbo, 285/75R16 MTR's, 4" OME, Safari snorkel, ARB airlocker, ARB bullbar, 9500lb winch, ARB dual pivot rear bar, 39L Engel, water tank, dual batts, sliding drawers, cargo barrier, underbonnet shower, laptop, GPS, oziexplorer, etc.... 99 HZJ105R GXL, alloy bullbar, Safari snorkel, more to come.....watch this space.......... |

Oh yeah, I use a CamelBak too. Skiing, fishing, hunting, running, biking, whenever. Only way to go.
Have only tied a few really easy flies, like San Juan worms. I'd like to start, but it's one of those dozen or so hobbies that are on the back burner for me. Not enough hours in the day... __________________ If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate. '99 UZJ100 "The Iron Hippo" / '82 FJ40 "Mustard" / '73 FJ40 |

Oh man, there is nothing like the large mouth bass pre-spawn feeding frenzy. My parents live on a 10 acre pond that is full of large mouth. One day a couple years ago during the pre-spawn frenzy my dad and I lost count after about 75 bass, all over 3 pounds. We were catching them on every cast, so I got out my fly rod and started catching them on dry flies. Very fun.
